Hotel and staff were pretty good, but the everyday food and buffets foods were so so.... The Italian and Japanese restaurants were really good for dinner! Room was nice, but didn't get the ocean view we reserved. Actually we were originally given a room right next to the construction of a hotel next door, and requested to be moved. Were told we could get put on a waiting list for an ocean view room?! Get an even numbered room! Those are the ones with an ocean view! The two for one dolphin swim was mysteriously "booked up" and we weren't able to do that....which is half the reason we booked this hotel! We checked on it on Tuesday (after arriving on Monday) and were told there weren't any openings until Saturday. Of course we were leaving Friday, and they knew that. They use different colors of bracelets and seem to discriminate against certain colors for some reason... I guess it depends whether you use a travel agent or not, a discount web site, or booked with them on the net. Not a good feeling overall... They were all happy and friendly when we checked in, showed us to a personal assistant who went over everything and was all smiles until we turned down here offer of having to sit through a 3 hour "presentation" about their other properties. Once we said no, she informed us that we had better get back to her by 7:00 that night if we wanted to book anything, otherwise they wouldn't guarentee anything would be open. (Maybe that explains the bracelets...you get a differenet color if you sit through their BS presentation.) Anyway, after being all smiles, once we declined the presentation offer, she couldn't drop us off at the elevator fast enough. Went from nice to cold shoulder in an instant! I wouldn't go back. All the hotels there seem so nice, it's kind of like Vegas, no matter where you go, they're all pretty good!!
If I went back, I'd probably stay at the JW Marriot. I don't think we got our monies worth for the all inclusive price! Drinks were WAY
weak and the nicer restaurants were only open for dinner.

Went to cancun on my honeymoon and me and my wife chose The Cancun Palace after reading the reviews on this site. We had an fantastic time. The food and service were great ,Never had a problem getting a seat by the pool and the room was really nice and every room has a juccuzi tub in it. Room service was always fast even at three in the morning,We also checked out the Moon Palace wich was incredible but yea forget using the beach there, and the sun palce which has the nicest beach but a little quiet for my taste. I would highly recommend The Cancun Palace , I booked the trip through a company on Ebay that sells members weeks and got a great deal.

“WE'LL BACK AGAIN, AWESOME VACATION!!!”

Cancun Palace

Stayed Cancun Palace for the first time and we were not dissappointed. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and review and mine is simply to say that we will be back. Our June vacation was awesome. I was concern in reading before some of the bad reviews, but whatever complain those people had were simply nitpicking on every little thing, but I'm sure CP did their best to remedy those because I just couldn't find fault. So here it is, I'll break it down:

SERVICE: Absolutely excellent, they really cater to you and treat you like King and Queens, some really go out of their way to please and accomodate you, your family and even your kids. The bartenders are friendly and works fast with all the drinks from cocktails to smoothies, water etc. The housekeeping are great, you don't see them but when you come back to your room, it's all made and clean, just don't forget to press the switch to green for the housekeeping, that gives them the go signal to clean your room, otherwise it is do not disturb and they respect that.

RESTAURANT/FOOD: All the restaurant from the Italian to the Asian style cuisine were very good along with the services of the waiters. Do not miss the Hibachi/Tepan yaki style dining, you need to make a reservation for this. My kids loves the steaks made to order in the pool dining area. The room service were use constantly also by kids and they love it that they come all hours even at 2-3 in the morning.

ENTERTAINMENT/TOURS: There are shows every night, although I didn't get to attend all, I heard from others that they were good and of course entertaining. The fire show was really awesome. There are all kinds of tours included in your trip package, if you have it take advantage of it. There is a new tour called Zip Lining and this is a physical, adventurous type of tour, not for the weak at heart and those scare of heights, but being we saw this in TRAVEL CHANNEL... we thought it be fun to try it, so we signed up and thought it was only to zip line from 1 tree to another 1 tree, but boy were we surprise when we got up there and found out that we will be ZIP LINING 12x and with one having a choice of doing it upside down... I'm middle age, my boys 13 and 11 did it and they loved it... overall it was a fun, and an adventurous experience, I recommend it for those who love thrill rides, and adventues, otherwise just do the ruins. As usual also ISLA MUJERES was fun and entertaining.

SPA/MASSAGES: The facility itself was calm, soothing, the massage room when facing down you are looking through a see through glass on the floor seeing the ocean with the fishes swimming by. The therapist were professional, friendly and gave the best massage I had full body, manicure/pedicure and facial.... Leonel was great, pick him to do your massage.

KIDS CLUB: We have a 7, 9, 11, and 13 year and we did bring them there. The kids club have their own kiddie pool, game room, gym type playroom, etc. The employees there work and play with the kids, the interaction is very sweet and friendly, my kids themselves ask us to keep bringing them back their.

BEACH: It is still small, but better than nothing, the ocean, water is absolutely gorgeous and so clear blue, a very nice ocean view from our room.

POOL: The pool can get crowded at certain time, but other wise the kids love it and the Swim up Bar are easy to access. It closes at 8pm, so that they can clean it everynight.

I don't think I covered everything, but overall I'm very impressed with this Hotel. Were plannig to come back either next year or in 2010 and I will be bringing friends and family with me. I absolutely recommend this CANCUN PALACE.

“Totally Awesome!!!”

Cancun Palace

Just came back from a week's stay (7/3-7/10) and this place deserves a million stars! The service was nothing less than outstanding! My son's birthday was on the 4th of July and I had arranged for a small piece of cake to celebrate (he is 6). The waiter came out with a piece of delicious chocolate cake but they wait staff sang and the piano player in the Italian restaurant played happy birthday. That was pretty awesome! The food was great- the kids menu totally catered to the kids. The room was spotless. Everyone from the activities staff to the bell boys were just so nice. WE felt very welcomed and cannot wait to return again!

Once again the palace deserves a million stars!

“AMAZING!!! Worth Every Penny!!”

Cancun Palace

11 Jul 2008

Just returned from a fantastic holiday at the cancun palace (29th june-9th july), me and my boyfriend went together (both 21) and thought it was absolutely amazing! we could not fault a single thing, the hotel is beautiful and v. clean, rooms are great - v.comfy beds and huge jacuzzi (exactly like the thomson brochure shows), pool is really big and so warm, and pool bars are great for cocktails, nachos, etc all day long!! all inclusive at this hotel means all inclusive...everything is included including premium spirits like absolute vodka, jack daniels etc! the staff and the mexican ppl in general are exceptionally friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay fantastic, and although we did give tips sometimes there was never any pressure or obligation felt (unlike some reports id heard about other hotels)! the food is absolutely amazing, theres a buffet restaurant which has a huge choice of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, great italian where the food is so good it could be a top chef, oriental with great food and great evening if you go to the tepanyaki show tables, and last but not least the mexican where we had fantastic service with guacamole even made from scratch by the waiter at our table!! the hotel is right on the beach (try and get a sea view room), and although the beach isn't massively wide its pure white sand and crystal clear water (also v. warm and great fun in the huge waves)! hotel is in a great location, bus is 35p to go anywhere, with shops and party zone only a few mins down the road! coco bongos is a great night out - definately the most random place iv ever been to (in a good way)!! if you go to any of the clubs its best to go with the hotel, you get a free coach there, Q jump, and you're own private area with waiters all night!! a tip if you book any tours, we booked them from the la isla shopping mall marina and it was quite a bit cheaper than the tour operator (thomson) rates esp. if you book multiple tours! my boyfriend also played golf at the moon palace which was much cheaper by going directly to the moon rather than booking at the cancun palace! i have to say that the cancun palace was far nicer than the moon palace, the moon is just too big and the CP is newer, cleaner, and in a better location! cancun is the best of both worlds with the carribean beaches/sea but also lots to do including tours, shopping, and partying if you want! this is the first review iv ever written but really wanted to do this hotel justice and say how fantastic it is - i will definately be recommending to all my friends/family and hopefully return at some point!!
