Not a Bad place at all, we did have some problems here and there, toilet slow, 3rd floor room (good work out). Alot of good, great crew, clean rooms, nice beach, alot better at Imperial than a few down the strip they were way over crowded. Food was O.K.. But just like at any other motel we never ate at the same reasturant every day. Get out and enjoy all of Cancun, dont just live in your room with the same food!! 2-01-04, 2-08-04.

Recently stayed there from 1/29/04 to 2/4/04. It should have started on 1/28/04 but when we arrived there they rushed us off to Dos Playas (supposedly an affiliate hotel of the same quality) with little explanation at all. Very rude, and quickly didn't understand anything when questioned. Our Dos Playas room was not made that they put us in and the toilet was already clogged. They fixed it, and it immediately overflowed the first flush. Unbelievable. We complained enough that by some strange miracle we suddenly had an oceanview room back at the Imperial Las Perlas from the 29th on. So, back at the hotel where we should have been the remainder of our stay was adequate. It certainly didn't make up for the day and a half of stress they took from us. And the bed bugs literally do bite and itch! STAY FAR AWAY!

Dido is definitely the word of the day after reading 90% of the other reviews. We were there from Jan 8th till the 15th. Freddie, Gama, and Carlos were great, worked hard for us no doubt. I met an absolutely fanatastic girl there at the hotel, love her to death, and had the time of my life in Cancun on a trip with all my best friends. However; if it hadn't been for that lucky twist of fate, I'd say stay on the bus 15 minutes longer and go somewhere else. You won't regret it, but you probably will if you stay here.

My wife and I came on a trip from Ireland and we were hoping for a nice hotel to rest our heads. We were dissapointed. We had to move room as we were put practically on the poolside bar on ground level. The room we got was just basic and we regretted not going further up the beach where it was more central.The fridge was not working either.Overall we made do but were left wondering about the standards of the other hotels on the strip,are they all this moderate?
