My wife and I just returned from a fantastic week at the Golden Paranassis.I don't have a bad thing to say about this all adult resort,well maybe the rooms could have been alittle cooler.The staff was always there to help you out and always had a smile on their faces.The resturants were great especially the Old Barn steak house mm mm good.The best part of our trip was all the super people(friends)we met there.We've stayed at alot of resorts in Mexico and I would say this one is right on top our our best list.I'll always remember the belly-shots at the TiKi Bar :) I would recommend a stay at this resort.Check it out.

We had an absolutley terrible experience here. We spent the majority of our vacation at another resort in the Riviera Maya and just wanted a few extra days in Cancun. What a mistake! We booked a club room jacuzzi suite for a couple days. Check-in was good and the staff seemed friendly at first. When we got to our room, it seemed very warm, but we turned up the A/C and went to the pool. The pool is very shallow with no deeper end. It almost seemed like a kids pool. The waitress and bartender at the pool were great and we rarely had to wait for a drink (drinks were rather small though) When we went back to our room a couple hours later, it had not cooled off at all! it had to be 90 degrees! We called maintenance and they said it was fine (even though sweat was dripping off all our faces) Air was blowing out the vent, but it wasn't cool air. They wanted to switch us to another room, but it wasn't any better. We just had to deal with it. It eventually was better the next day, but not great, but enough so you didn't sweat while just relaxing in the room. During the check-in process we were met by our "consierge". He wanted to take us to a "special" breakfast the next day at their sister hotel and give us a gift of 500 pesos for their gift shops. He said it was of the room we booked and we were VIP's. When we were told to bring our credit card to book another stay, we declined the breakfast. Also, being on our honeymoon, we didn't want to have a special breakfast with 6 other couples. After we declined the breakfast, any kind of customer service went away. Our "consierge" disappeared and we were left to fend for ourselves. In the room, the maid service was fine. The mini-bar was never restocked the remainder of our stay. The shower was horrible! It was nice and big, but there was a lack of water pressure, the shower head was corroded and only had water come out of 1 side and the water was HOT, HOT, HOT. There was almost no cold water to make the shower comfortable. The shower problems were never addressed or fixed during our stay.
We were entitled to 1 romantic dinner with a waitor in our room because of the room we booked. We made our reservation the day we arrived and confirmed the day of the dinner. It was obvious they weren't going to come that night! My wife had to call several times and finally they decided to send someone to give us our dinner......only 1 hour late! The dinner was fantastic! Our waitor Arturo was the best! We couldn't have asked for a nicer waitor and the dinner was very good. This being our last night and having such a nice dinner, we decided to use the jacuzzi for the first time. We couldn't wait! We filled the tub, got ready to jump in and.........It doesn't work! Of course....nothing else seems to work in this hotel. Maintenance couldn't fix it and we paid extra money for nothing. The next day we were going to check out and they wanted to fix the jacuzzi. How is fixing the jacuzzi 2 hours prior to check out going to help us? We talked to the manager and he didn't care. He kept telling me that they were trying to fix the jacuzzi. I said it didn't matter because we are checking out as we are having this conversation! He didn't care (refer back to the breakfast thing) and trying to have money refunded was going nowhere. I told him I just wanted to be charged for a regular room (which is all our room turned out to be) and he wouldn't. We were getting nowhere. He didn't care I spent extra money for the jacuzzi room. He didn't care the jacuzzi didn't work.

On a positive: The food staff was excellent. The bartenders were excellent. The waitors were excellent. The food was just ok, nothing great. Better food at almost every resort we have stayed, but not horrible at the GP.

Negatives: Just about everything. The manager and front desk were rude and ignorant. The building was falling apart and nothing seems to work. The room we stayed was the worst room we have ever had anywhere!

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! There are so many other places to go which are so much better. Don't take a chance on this place, there are too many negatives and problems at the Golden Parnassus. Don't let them make any of your vacation miserable like they did to us.

We have just returned from a week at the GP The hotel is magnificent and we have never experienced such incredible service before. It was so lovely that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the hotel.

We were just expecting a few nibbles but breakfast is a spread.
During the afternoon lunch and snacks are incredible.
Quite difficult to fit in any meals out after all that!

The pool is lovely, not as big as the pool next door but more luxurious. .

The Spa is out of this world. Not for under 25 year olds really but anyone can have fun.

Stay here it is the best....Hands down!!!!!

this was a birthday present from my boyf and came back yesyerday, it was the best yet. we didnt know what to expect as it is the furthest we have ever been, but we couldnt fault the hotel if we wanted to, it was beautiful and the staff are brilliant. i heard bad reviews of the hotel but glad i didnt take no notice as it was a fantastic holiday, for a laugh and really relaxing holliday with no screaming brats go here i want to go back now.

one tip is check for the plug adapter its a 2 pin but thin pins we took the wrong one but luckily there were some relly nice people there and we were lent one by another couple on the same floor as us.
