i found the hotel, the town square, and all the people associated with the hotel wonderfull, each and everyone dot

We stayed there for a week this march and found the staff to be very pleasant and the rooms adequate..... you get what you pay for.... The rooms were very clean and the location was perfect. However, on our last nights stay there, we had $50 stolen from our dresser drawer.... 99% sure it was the maid that stole the money.... Anyway, I would probably stay there again because of the price and location, but I would definately keep all valuables locked up tight.

be wary of meson san miguel. i just got back from my 2nd trip to cozumel in a month. it was also my 2nd time staying a at meson. i would have reserved a room there for my next trip, but on my last day there, i came back to my room to find that my cell phone & the charger had been stolen. yes, there was a sign in the room saying that the hotel isn't responsible for valuables left in the room. i guess that i just got complacent because of the staff's overall friendly attitude. i realize that theft can happen anywhere, but why stay where it actually occurred? if you still want to take the chance, ask for a room which has been refurbished. even though the hotel is on the main square, it is relatively quiet at night unless your room faces west where there's a bar with loud music. hot water exists if you let the water run for 25 minutes.
