My husband has a bad back and the beds in some of the small hotels aren't too great. We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and beds of this small hotel off the beaten path. We have stayed here over the last 5 years and not had a bad experience. The single unit isn't real big and doesn't have a fridge or anything, but we don't spend much time in the room anyway. It was about 600 pesos a night which with the good conversion rate of Dec 2009 would be about 45 US. The day help speak fairly good english but it's best to pay in pesos for the best rate. Also it's right by Walmart for beer and supplies, we bring a collapsible cooler and buy ice. They do have a pool and also have double and triple rooms which I have never seen. They always have hot water too, which is not always the case in small hotels here. Avoid the week before and after Easter, it is packed for a two week local celebration, people sleeping around the pool, in cars, and very noisy.
