We travel to Playa del Carmen at least once if not twice per year, and this restaurant is always on our itinerary. The steaks at this Argentinian Steakhouse are outstanding, and we've also enjoyed the pizza here as well. Three of us very much enjoyed our skirt steak (Entrana). Two of us enjoyed the salad that comes with the steak, but my husband asked for the mashed potatoes this time. They were delicious! One of our friends ordered the crispy chicken, and hers came with the side salad as well. She really enjoyed her chicken, and we even ate some empanadas prior to dinner as we were quite hungry. Again we had the chistorra empanada, and it did not disappoint; however, this time we also ordered the corn and cheese empanada. My husband really enjoyed it but I felt it lacked flavor. I thought it should have had a bit of chili powder added.
For dessert, we shared the "pillow of ooey goodness" as my husband calls it...the caramel crepe. While they didn't have any vanilla icecream to put on top of this wonderful warm dessert, my husband ran across to the Hagen Daz, to grab a cup of vanilla to add to the dessert. It was delicious as usual.
Between all of us, we had 2 Coronas, 2 Cokes, 3 Entrana dinners, 1 crispy chicken dinner, 3 empanadas and one caramel crepe and our total with tip was $95 USD. There is no chance of our getting this great a meal in the U.S. for $95 total. The steaks were cooked perfectly as usual. Perfect everytime. This is my favorite restaurant in Playa, and I will continue to visit it at least once per year.
