We spent 4 nights at the Karma and it was really fantastic. The staff was very friendly and fun to talk to; the grounds were beautiful; the room was cozy but not squished; and the access to the City of Playa was superb! Be aware: no TV, Radios or Clocks in the rooms!

some traffic noise on Saturday morning (its across the street from a church)
We tried to book a day trip to Xcaret (AMAZING BTW,) with the "travel desk" and I don't feel like we were given the best offered deal. ($130 pp for the all inclusive package. We walked down to 5th avenue and spent $78 TOTAL all inclusive, but had to sit through a timeshare presentation- it was worth it- didn't get a timeshare though ;) )
The hotel had nothing to do with the timeshare, but I had seen other places in PDC offer the same trip for $110...

OVERALL I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL- ITS GREAT!

We booked our stay through Expedia and checked the photos of the Hotel Playa del Karma online. I was very pleased to find the hotel was more beautiful than the photos. The location was perfect for the type of holiday we like.l Just far enough away from the major bussle but close enough to absolutely everything we needed. 5 min. to everywhere.
The staff is amazing, helpful and friendly and you feel at home right away.
The food is fabulous. The best breakfasts ever. Everything on the menu is great and Friday nights are the best so don't miss out. The dinners we had were exceptional and the service was again fabulous.
Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet and the hotel itself was an oasis away from the busy streets. The pool is small and refreshing and due to the limited number of rooms we were always alone when swimming which was amazing.
Overall this hotel was the perfect choice for our 2 week stay and will definately be our only choice when visiting Playa.

the hotel has everything you need, it's very close to the action but in a quiet street, they really treat you like family and personally cater to your needs. I stayed with a friend for 9 days and by the time we left, we loved everybody there. The hotel is very cute, breakfast is personally served by the wonderful chef Beppo. I especially appreciated the helped received by the front desk and the travel office in organizing trips and finding great beaches and cenotes nearby.

I stayed at Playa del Karma hotel together with my boyfriend 6 nights in the beginning of June. The place is great and we really enjoyed our stay. The staff is friendly and definitely gave us a personal service, which was much appreciated since it's not that common these days.

The garden with the beautiful pool was lovely, everything else than a typical hotel garden. The continental breakfast is enough (great that it was included in the price), but if you are hungry the chef Beppe makes delicious pancakes with natural yoghurt and fruit etc. for a reasonable price.

There's a travelling agency - Karma Trails (run by Antonello) - in the hotel, which is very convenient. We booked a day trip to one of the seven new world wonders - Chichén Itzá - to a good price. This is worth the effort despite the tourist crowds, if you're a least bit interested in history. During the same trip we also visited "el gran cenote" (sinkhole)! Cool :)

The hotel offers sun chairs at Mamita's Beach Club at Calle 28. Mamita's was nice - no sea weed (clear water). Go there!

Many thanks to the entire staff who made our stay rememberable! This hotel is something different in a very positive way.

Ps. The dog seems to be back, but we only heard him barking a couple of times at bad weather ;)
