The other reviews have been very accurate, so rather than repeat the details, here's is what it's like. When you wake up, you shuffle through the sand to a delicious breakfast. After quickly ordering from the friendly staff, you start with coffee, yogurt, granola, and fresh fruit. Then you're served a delicious breakfast. When you finish your plate, the staff politely asks, "anything else?" I can confirm that if you say yes, the second breakfast is as delicous as the first. Then you can motivate to visit the ruins, drive into town, hit the beach, or, as I frequently did, take a nap. A quick drive into town at noon with a cooler (they have 'em), and we were stocked on Negra Modelo and tequila. The afternoons were spent on the semi-private (but pretty much private) beach reading, napping, swimming, and drinking. Since breakfast is served only to guests, the place is extremely private. It's a small detail, but the fact that there is no public restaurant really makes it feel very exclusive as only hotel guests are ever there.
The manager was happy to provide dinner suggestions, which were all within walking distance and very tasty. Also, since breakfast is so ample (and included in the price), we only ate one other meal a day, which really makes this place a great value as well as just being flat out amazing.
I was there with my wife for our honeymoon, and if I could change anything, I wouldn't.
