Some of you people (that are critisizing) need to go back where you come from or to Cancun the Hotel Zone.
Serious get a life.
Some nice lady just said this is not 4 seasons hotel okey.
You al want a place for 75 bucks but want buttler to be running after you.
We have time share in Rivera Mayan at the most exclusive place yet we always take a week in Tulum.
I have seen othe r parts of Mexico but nothing comes close falks belive me.
Europeans, Canadians are not stupid, they stay a way from Cancun and go to Playa del Carmen, Chatumal
Paraiso is increadible.
The water is the most cristal blue I have seen so far.
Batter that Bahamnas, Hawaii etc.
Send is white which means cold not brown and hot like in Acapulco and West coast.
Its not too comersilized which make a perfect exotic and quiet vacation.
As for the charging for the chair that is not true.
I never got charged for chair they always gave me a hand band for free. The blue bads with cabanas were few bucks but WHO CARE youare on increadible vacation.
I am sure you spent more on pack of cigarrets or taquila.
Take an advice and next time you go there don't expect everything to be perfect just be fortunate enough taht you are one of few fortunate people on earth to seee something so beatiful and magnificent like this.

We stayed at Paraiso from Feb 27 thru March 3, after shopping around the entire area, and actually staying at another place for a night. I highly recommend it for all the following reasons:
1- set on the most beautiful beach in all of Tulum
2- set back far enough from the beach, restaurant and bar/club that we didn't hear a sound.
3- nice solid construction: no mosquitoes.
4- all very recently renovated: super clean and convenient. Crisp spanking new linens and fresh towels. Super comfortable new mattresses and nice bathrooms.

I was very pleased with it and actually am amazed they charge so little when other places along the same strip without access to such a great beach have the nerve to charge practically twice as much!

I'm confirming It has recently changed hands and been renovated. Great location and great value!

The Hotel had been renovated since it's last owner back on april, 2006... I foud new mattress, nicely painted , cleaned rooms... I staryed there two years ago and I was amazed at the change... The restaurant (Nuddy Beach club) is no longer part of the hotel... so guest have courtasey chairs but not for the beach beds... so expect to pay for the "beach beds"....Paraiso has the most beautifull beach in the area... The staff might seem a bit slow or not helpufull... that is to remaind you that are in mexcio and not in a big city.... so sit...relax...and enjoy.... rember how simple life should be...

My boyfriend and I visited Cabanas Paraiso from May 12th till May 15th. When we got in Tulum on the 12th, we didn't bother making reservations in advance, I figured that it would't be busy since it was low season...Well, I was wrong! After spending about an hour going from cabana to cabana in a taxi, everywhere was full. We were gonna give one last try, which turned out to be Cabanas Paraiso. We were REALLY happy to find that place. First, the beach is georgous, the concept is very nice, very nicely decorated in the bar area, at night they light up torches everywhere and play very good lounge music.
We ate next door, at Don Cafeto, BEST meals ever! It's just a short walk on the beach, and it's well worth it! Also, the drinks are alot cheaper there than at the Paraiso, so we enjoyed that too!
We walked to the ruins, about 15 minutes. If you can, go on Sunday, it's free admission. We took a guided tour, it was well worth it too. I had been to the ruins before, but the guided tour made a big diffrence.
We also went out to Aqua Bar down town one night and got cheap beer and good music. If you have a chance, try the garlic shrimps at Don Cafeto down town Tulum...Best ones I ever had!
