Juan & Martha were the quintessiantial definition of hospitable. They welcomed us upon our arrival, offered us a glass of wine or beer and shared wonderful stories. Their dog, Chili, welcomed our 18 year old daughter and kept her well entertained with cathcing coconuts, water shoes and sticks. They even shared a few meals together.
I wish we had more time to spend there. We spent the first few nights at Tita Tulum and although Tita has their own quaint restaurant, they were not friendly at all. Not friendly! Bit of a dissapointment The accomodations at Jade are rustic but very clean and what an incredible view. All the rooms have hammocks outside their front door and they provide coolers so you can store sodas, etc. Really breath taking view.
I do wish that they had a door on the bathroom. The only divider was a curtain which did not cover the entire entrance and anybody entering had a view of the bathroom. No problem for us but just a minor adjustment.
Having stayed at both Tita Tulum and Jade, we would highly recommend Jade!!!! They are two of the nicest hosts and coffee and toast with them and the other guests was wonderful. Met the nicest couple - they were interesting and we all laughed at stories, translations, and got great tips on what to do and most importantly what time to do them.
We really relied heavily on people's reviews and if you are too, don't hestitate to book your reservations at Jade.
