I stayed at the Rancho for about a week. It was the perfect place to stay to get oriented to the Tulum region and plan my next travel move. The staff were incredibly helpful, going out of their way to get me connected to the people and places I needed to make my trip a joy to remember. The free daily breakfast and evening communal gathering in the main hall to cook dinners, watch movies, play games, or just talk with other travelers from all over the world was wonderful. The BBQs were fantastic. The Rancho is not a five star resort, filled with fake amenities and superficial smiles, but it is real Mexico, filled with real laughter, good people, and great memories. It's the kind of place I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend, and the place I plan to stay at when I next pass through Tulum. Say hi to Peso the dog for me.
