Punta Allen is amazing, and while getting there is way more than half the fun, the fun there is really BIG. We rented the Casa Grande which let 2 couples have ample privacy and comfort. Sirena is a great hostess and helped enthusiastically with recommendations. The first restaurant she picked (The Old Pier) was so good we kept going back. She also obtained a boat tour guide for us and despite a big language gap we communicated really well and had a great day of sea turtles, pelagic birds, and snorkeling. We are sure we saw the fish we had for dinner later.
The casa could definitely have been cleaner, but it wasn't so that we were put off by it. FYI, there isn't any breakfast so it shouldn't be listed as a B&B. "Taco Loco" around the corner has real coffee, you have to ask for cafe naturale to avoid the Nes.
The moonlit walk down the road toward the lighthouse was amazing - if you can time your visit to the full moon, do it!
