I arrived in Barra without reservations and easily looked at 7 or 8 properties before deciding on this B&B. Barra is a funky little beach town with funky properties and this was a standout. The room, #6, had beautiful stained glass windows, a king size bed, jacuzzi tub and separate shower. I negotiated a decent price with the proprietor, but it was still more than any other hotel I looked at. However, the pool area was so nice and the room so pretty, I decided to splurge. The location was decent, about a block from the beach and an easy walk to the town center. The breakfast (included) was sparse. It consisted of cereal, fruit, very dry toast and coffee. Again, the room was nice and clean, but there was a consistent lack of attention at the hotel. For example, on two consecutive mornings I went to the pool to find dirty towels from the day before on the lounge chairs. The food ordered poolside was excellent though. I did book one massage and it was great. Overall, it was a good experience. If you're going to Barra, I think this is probably your best bet, but don't expect a 4 star experience.
