My husband and I stayed at this hotel for about 4 nights. I found the hotel through it's website and booked the loft style room for about $200+ a night. I understood that Banff is pricey especially in the summer but I did have high hopes for the room. When we arrived I was not too happy with the room. The decor is a little dated, the walls are plain white, and the bathroom was very awkward. I found the room to be a little depressing. The layout of the loft was cool though, although the steep spiral staircase would not be suitable for the elderly or people who have physical barriers. The king size bed was great and there was plenty of space for our belongings. The staff were very nice and helpful.
Downtown Banff is only a 10 minute walk away and this was very convenient!
In the end though I did feel a little cheated having to spend over $200 a night on the room, it just didn't compare to other places we've stayed at for the same or less amount.
The pool and hottub were nice although does not accomadate many people. In fact more than 6 adults in the pool would be awkward.
I probably would not stay at this hotel again. Instead I would just spend a little extra on a nicer hotel. It's possible my standards and expectations were just too high, but I've stayed in much nicer hotels for the same price.
