Not sure why this place has low review scores. I stayed for 3 nights in August 06.

Excellent Location. Just a 2 min walk to the middle of town. On the street that runs parallel to the main street. Close to Restaurants, close to convenience store , close to Brewster Bus Terminal (5 min walk) a very quite location.

The room I stayed in was very large and well appointed very clean. Had a King Bed, 3 seater lounge, dining table, 2 basins, lots of storage and still had plenty of room left.

The Hotel had 2 internet terminals which were not cheap but I never had to wait to use them.

The Restaurant was very nice. Only had Breakfast buffet in there but a great selection. Had lovely views from the Restaurant I think its hard to get a bad view anywhere in Banff. I was travelling alone so ate breakfast alone and the staff made an effort to chat to me about my travels. Overall the service was excellent

The only thing that was really missing and was not that important was a hairdryer. No minibar either.

just returned from a 2 week stay at the bpl with my family found all staff incluiding maids very polite and courtious and allways time to speak with us hotel was clean and rooms were spacious and decor was all to a high standard lounge food was very good and jada and les were fast and efficient behind the bar the pool area was clean and was checked for water condition every day as far as we could tell we had a great stay and are planning to stay at the bpl again next time we visit banff a big plus is the location last on ski buses and first off on return from slopes the only little niggle is the trains horns at night but this was only the first night as every other night we were so tired after a days skiing we never noticed this

I stayed there for 3 nights over a December weekend. The first two night were fine, I had the room with a jaccuzi, which was nice. On the last night however, in the middle of the night I got up to get a glass of water and when I turned on the light there were several black bugs the size of my thumbnail that scurried under the bed. It was quite disturbing. I looked for the bugs afterwards and couldn't find them. Since it was close to morning anyways, I just stayed awake until it was time for me to leave. When I told the front desk clerk about the bugs, he didn't say anything. He refused to say a word about the incident, just handed me my bill and refused to speak to me or even look at me until I had signed the bill. I didn't have time to play games with the sullen clerk, so I paid the bill and left, but I did make sure that a planned conference that my company had been planning on using the facility for was moved to another venue. Disgusting service and bugs in the room, I can't tell which was worse.

We have stayed at the banff park lodge six night in the beginning of december and it 's a good hotel, good price . It was clean, spacious room, good location (close to everything), the beakfast was included in the room price, and the food was very good (when you order in the menu ,but the buffet beakfast is not as good, the srambled eggs were so so, and every thing was cold). Every body is nice except one women who works at the restaurant (Clare), she wasn't very friendly.
I will be back next time i will stay in Banff
Just one more thing, this is not about the hotel, but for all those people who came back to their room in the middle of the night : Do you know that most people are sleeping at 2am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!so please be quiet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
