We stayed at this Hotel as part of a Travelsphere tour of the Rockies.
A lovely hotel - very clean and spacious.
The bedrooms are tastefully decorated and the bathrooms very luxurious.
The staff were very friendly and helpful - a truley lovely hotel

This hotel didn't look very fancy or special, but we had a wonderful two day stay here. We booked the suite overlooking the patio on the 3rd floor. It was very elegant, clean and quiet. The king size bed was superbly comfortable. Our first evening, we had dinner at the hotel restaurant. The food and wine selections were excellent. some dishes had a bit too much sugar in the sauces, but generally we were very pleased with the freshness of the ingredients and the attentiveness of the staff. When we went up to look at the Banff Springs Hotel, we were very glad we stayed where we did. It is an easy walk to the middle of town.

Our second night, we took the recommendation of the concierge and had a delightful light dinner at the bar of Cafe Soleil (sp?). Run by young men and women, the tapas plates of food were superbly well cooked and delicious.

Stayed 2 nights at the hotel, good bedroom clean and well maintained.
Restaurant menu varied, dinner well cooked, staff very efficient and friendly. Breakfast buffet or a la carte.
Slightly odd , but seems to be norm for Canadian hotels, but bar was in the dining room not separate.

I was somehow disappointed in this property. It was certainly very clean, and folks were friendly, but no more so than else where in the park. I had booked an "executive suite" which was essentially a larger room with a sleeper couch and a fireplace-the consolidator description was deceptive. The view from the window was directly into the front driveway, so the curtains needed to be closed all the time and there certainly was no view. Tried the breakfasts, both cooked to order and buffet ,and felt they were overpriced. Paid $6 a nite for parking; no free internet service.
No bar, nothing much happening, any time of day, and a big let down that rooms were not a suite but just a large room-I was hoping for a bit of scenic luxury but I don't think it would exist except in a very few rooms here.
Trip was the 21st of August and had been advised to book well in advance in this town but there were vacant rooms all over. Were I making recommendations to a friend who didn't want a view, I think I would send them to the Fox propertly-brand new and right next door, with free daily parking, at least right now. Also a new Chili's attached. I'd stay away from the overpriced food and services here.
