“Good base for skiing and town”

Red Carpet Inn

10 Feb 2008

The Red carpet is nicely situated close to town and has the Ski resort bus stop just out side the door. Staff friendly and helpful, the rooms were of a nice size - our party had 4 rooms of different design and all were good. Breakfast simple and filling.

Rooms were clean, warm and made up every day and we had a very nice time here.

We travel to Banff often and have stayed at many different hotels in the area. The Red Carpet Inn is great if you are looking for a hotel that is close to the downtown shopping area. It’s not an upscale hotel, but the rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff seem very friendly. I think they must own the hotel next door as well because we were able to use the swimming pool at the High Country Inn during our stay. The breakfast is a basic continental style, but it was fine for us. We will stay at this hotel again for sure.

Our stay at the Red Carpet Inn was wonderful! We will definitely stay here every time we come to Banff! From the time we checked in until the moment we checked out, the staff were friendly and helpful! Being nice and close to downtown Banff made for a pleasant walk to enjoy the atmosphere, do some shopping and enjoy a nice cup of coffee after a long day of skiing. The free breakfast was fabulous and easy to access. Our room was nice and clean every day too! If you're looking for affordable in a rather expensive destination, then this is your place to stay!

Hotel was basic. Various problems with Houskeeping,
continuous knocking on door on first day (after 11hr flight) even though Do Not Disturb sign was up.
barged into room uninvited at 15:30, assumed i was out even though DND was up. when the rooms were cleaned - usually late evening..
I think the housekeeping staff can't read.
breakfast is basic - help yourself to juice.
If you value your privacy and wish your room to be cleaned at a reasonable hour - do not stay here.
