The room we had was a double, with 2 queen size beds. It was clean, spacious and had plenty of facilities such as hairdryer, coffee maker, fridge, tv, telephone, chairs and table, safety deposit box, plenty of storage space.. Everything you could need really.
Staff were polite and helpfull any queries or problems were sorted out immediately. Breakfast was juice, coffee, tea, cereal, toast and muffins and always plenty available. Housekeeping was superb and very friendly with it. Hot tub was very very welcome after a long day on the slopes. The only niggle I had was the noisy gits in the rooms above and next door!!
Would return any time.

I stayed at this hotel for about one week in September 2006. The hotel is located about 5 minutes walk from city center. The price, $160 + tax, was reasonable, considering the location. My room was clean, quiet, and spacious, and with practical equipment such as A/C, heater, safe deposit box with electronic lock, refrigerator, coffee maker, and bubble bath. Things looked new and were in good condition. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was OK. The continental breakfast was OK, but nothing special. There was a coin-operated computer in the lobby, which I did not use. (Nowadays, many hotels have a computer free to use.) Unfortunately, the hot tub is open only in winter, but it is only a 10-minutes drive to the upper hot springs. My stay was very convenient and I would book this hotel again.

For $89 a night, the Red Carpet Inn was an excellent deal. The room was clean and spacious (we stayed in the King/Jacuzzi room) and the service was good.
There was no problem with noise at night - we did not hear anything through the walls. The hotel is very close to downtown, and everything you could need is in walking distance (restaurants, pubs, the Whyte museum, stores, etc.). The breakfast consisted of cereal, toast, muffins, juice and coffee... nothing special, but it is "all you can eat," so we were able to fill our stomachs before hitting the ski hill.
Probably the best part of our hotel room was the ensuite jacuzzi. It was lovely to be able to soak in the (big!) tub together after a long day. Very relaxing and romantic.
We will almost certainly go back again. Excellent value for the price, and the jacuzzi was a wonderful treat!

Banff is a prime tourist location and generally accomodation is expensive, but the Red Carpet Inn offers reasonable value for money. We had a very nice room - furnished to a high standard and plenty of room for our family of 4. There is a nice hot tub and, apparently, you can use the swimming pool next door. The rate includes breakfast - but the breakfast room is very small with very basic furniture and the breakfast is no more than adequate. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the centre of Banff. I would recommend the Red Carpet Inn.
