To start, there wasn't any parking available and we had to drive up and down the street to find a spot along the curb.
Our room was on the 2nd floor up , no elevator and 2 flights of stairs with heavy luggage.
The room was freezing when we arrived (on a day it was -25C), and the staff told us the window had a draft. I demanded they do something, so they brought a tiny space heater, that wasn't enough large enough to heat the bathroom. The space heater kept turning off every 10 min. The room never did get warm and later upon arriving to our room after a night out, at 2am we didn't have ANY electricity, and the room was still freezing. The bathroom ceiling had condensation and leaked drops of water onto the overhead lighting after we took our showers (not too safe!), as well as the bathroom vanity and floor.
The staff were not very helpful and told us we should have kept calling and doing more ourselves. Well, how many times can one person call the front desk to ask these problems get fixed? We were very disappointed in how we were treated and the staff couldn't have cared less.
I would not recommend the Driftwood Inn... there are PLENTY OF OTHER HOTELS in the same vicinity.
