My husband and I stayed at Paradise Bungalows on our honeymoon after the Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff lost our reservation. The staff and owners were friendly and helpful, and set us up in a Wilson Cabin (#7). The cabin was perfect! Clean and cozy, with a nice little kitchenette (Microwave, sink, mini fridge, coffee maker). We ate croissants and had coffee and tea in the mornings in the common room. The property is VERY well maintained, with a convenient laundry room. There are flowers everywhere and gorgeous grass (lots of "keep off the grass signs" everywhere, and there was almost always a man tending to the landscaping.) At the back of the property there is a wooden swing that faces out to a beautiful view. This is a great place to stay in Lake Louise, perfectly situated close to Moraine Lake, the Chateau & the "town" area where there is a little store and a few shops. If we ever go back to Lake Louise, we would definitely stay again at Paradise Bungalows. We loved the privacy and charm of the cabins, and preferred this to the feel of a giant hotel.

We had to move from our Wilson Cabin into the Suites after two nights, because they had squeezed us in at the last minute. We liked the suites, but prefer the cabins. The suites don't have the cabin feel or the same charm, although they are also very clean and comfortable. The suite had a much better TV than the cabin, a much larger flat panel. Also, the airflow in the suites is not as good, as in our "half saddleback" there were only two windows near the door that could be opened for air, and we kept the curtains closed because the windows faced the road/walking path and people could have seen straight into our bedroom if they were open.

  • This TripAdvisor Member:
    • Liked — The cabin was wonderful. The staff/owners take pride in their business and it shows.
    • Disliked — We didn't love the half-saddleback suite, after being spoiled for two nights in a Wilson Cabin. Definitely book the cabin!

Lovely location, nice views. But after paying $350 for one night why would they think I should pay and additional $5 to use the internet. It would have been such a nice place if they hadn't set me off by charging extra to use the internet. We used the Banff service to find this place and it was very nice. The fireplace and the living space were just what we needed. The breakfast was also delicious. But since the internet has become essential for us while traveling and we were paying a lot for the bungalow already, it does not seem necessary to pay extra for the internet.

Super set of cabins nestled in the woods. We stayed in one of the Cooper Cabins, which are among the largest, and which have a deck with a view.

TV, gas heater, mini-kitchen, CD player, nice quality rustic furniture, clean and well-maintained. (See my photos.) Friendly staff. Very comfortable, and only a few minutes from either Lake Louise itself or the Village of Lake Louise.

It's a testiment to how nice this place is that I still have fond memories of it despite having the stomach flu for part of my stay! I would definitely stay here again.

“Great accommodation”

Paradise Lodge & Bungalows

26 Sep 2007

Recently had a four night stay in a Saddleback suite. Booked this accommodation primarily on the reviews on here and wasn't disappointed. Very clean accommodation, great mountain views from out outside seating area and just a short drive from Lake Louise and Lake Louise Village.

Saddleback suite's don't have a full kitchen just a convenience area with fridge, microwave and coffee maker, but was pleased to discover and kettle and toaster in the cupboard plus some basic crockery and cutlery.

The coffee and pastries available every morning in the lodge were also greatly appreciated.

Would thoroughly recommend it.

“high quality accommodation in excellent location”

Paradise Lodge & Bungalows

16 Sep 2007

Stayed in a 'Saddleback' suite for 3 nights. The interior was really well done and the suite had a beautiful view out into the woods. Free coffee and pastries in the morning was a nice addition. Handy location although NB it's an uphill walk along a main road busy with tourist traffic to Lake Louise.
