I was in town for work and stayed at this hotel for about a week and half. Originally booked through website, but when I was at the hotel I was upgraded to suite for free. I like the morning breakfast and the afternoon mini dinner. Breakfast wasn't bad you get eggs and sausages etc, something to get you buy in the morning. The pool and waterslide is a bonus if you have kids. I would definitly stay here again, the suites have kitchenettes where you can cook a meal if you wanted to.

We travelled to Calgary during the 2007 Stampede, to visit family and explore Alberta. As a group of 8, made up of two families each with teenage children, Staybridge Suites gave us perfect accommodation in two 2 bedroom suites at a price almost half what it would have cost elsewhere.

Two bedroom suites are perfect for families, especially having two full-size bathrooms! Kitchen was very well equipped and we appreciated the provision of a small amount of all the essentials eg dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, ground coffee.

Staff were a bit over-stretched due to a general staff shortage in Calgary, but were always pleasant and helpful.

There are plenty of shops, leisure facilities and restaurants within a short driving distance, although walking to anywhere other than MacDonalds (2 doors along) isn't that easy due to the location. Since the city was so busy, we chose to use the train to travel downtown on most occasions

I stayed at the StayBridge Suites Calgary for a week in mid-January 2008. The price was reasonable, and the facility itself was clean. I was there on the weekend as well, and so there were tons of kids and families on Saturday and Sunday, but I didn't mind the kids running around. It actually kind of livened the place up.

You do need a vehicle for this location-- it's a long walk to nearly anything, although by vehicle the hotel is well situated to access downtown Calgary as well as the sprawling business parks in the North Eastern part of the city.

The staff was very friendly, though as has been noted elsewhere, not experienced. Maid service, usual at StayBridge suites, is pretty minimal through the week, but I didn't mind this as you sort of feel like you're in your own little apartment, and you don't expect much more than towels replaced and the bed made, which is what you'll get. I love the suite itself, which I found to be roomy. I had a 1 bedroom with a King bed.

Don't bother with the complimentary evening snacks-- they are embarassingly minimal. I am not sure why they bother actually. The night I went, the featured item was an extremely bland macaroni and cheese filled chafing dish, cocktail weenies, and --- nothing else. It was nearly inedible. The breakfasts are considerably better, with fresh fruit, juices, coffee, the usual "Holiday Inn Express" type of breakfast fare.

No major problems with this hotel. Clean, quiet, reasonably priced. I liked it and would go back-- in fact I am going back.

I spent three nights at this airport hotel, and frankly I wished I had stayed downtown Calgary. The hotel is fairly new so the facility is quite nice, lobby, pool, work-out room, guest room,etc. The free internet, breakfast and evening munchies (no drinks, wine or beer) were a plus. But the hotel lacks a personality, the only restaurant near the facility is a McDonalds and the hotel shuttle will not drop guest at the real restaurants three blocks away. So if you have a car, this place is fine...just a little flat. Without a car forget it!
