We had a very nice room with two beds. It was an interior room on the ground floor with a sliding door right to the pool. The room was nicely maintained and was very comfortable. We really enjoyed having the pool and hot tub right outside our door. It does get noisy, but luckily management covers the pool up at 10pm so it does quiet down. We requested a refrigerator that cost an additional $10 per night. I thought that was a little unreasonable, but we paid it. The first night we were there, there was a band in the bar which we could hear. It was quiet for us the second night. However, we had friends staying in rooms across the hall that faced the outside of the building. They said it was noisy from people going outside to smoke. There was also a domestic violence incident that went on in one of the rooms for most of the night. When one of my friends called about it, hotel staff finally went to investigate. The police did not seemed to be called as the crying went on all night long. This hotel is in the middle of a large truck stop area. There is nothing fancy about it on the outside, but the inside is a nice oasis. I plan to stay there again in the future. If I had encountered the all night domestic violence I would not have been as patient, I probably would have called the police. I was dissapointed that the hotel staff did not.

As a previous reviewer said, "good enough". It's reasonably clean and in a good location and the staff is helpful, but the hotel is in need of a top-to-bottom renovation. I felt a bit ripped paying even the web price for the tired facilities.

The garden interior is fairly unique and pleasant to look at, but suffers from high humidity which seems to leak into the rooms.

The interior is getting old. Our room on the lower floor looked a bit dingy and the lighting was poor. Towels, once white, had an off-color. The TV's picture tube was going out. Everything seemed reasonably clean. My parents stayed on the second floor, which seemed brighter.

The pool water was sort of "misty" or milky - I couldn't really see the bottom! It seemed clean overall but I took a shower afterwards.

Note there is no elevator to the second floor. Tim Horton's across the street is very convenient. The place is located by a truck stop, so expect lots of big rigs going in and out. The two sets of doors, airlock style, are manual and make hauling luggage in and out a chore. There are side doors to the hotel anybody can enter - no security at all.

Staff was overall pleasant and helpful.

Overall, it's just an okay place. If you just need a place to sleep, this should do.

Close to the Trans Canada and easy to get to. Hotel is fairly old but reasonably clean and everything worked OK. Tim Horton's close by and the Hotel Dining Room served a good breakfast.

I stayed there on the night of oct 26 2006. It was well worth the walk from downtown. Check in was very quick and check in staff very friendly. After gettting to my large room I ordered room service which arrived very quickly. The pay per view movies allow u to watch movies all day until checkout for a good deal. The pool is decent as is the games room. The breakfast voucher is good for the coffee mill cafe. included is a $3 breakfast voucher per person. If you dont want to use the hotels restaurants there is a tim hortons right beside. If you dont have a car and are coming from the bus depot you can walk 40-45min from town or take a bus to stream and walk 30. Or take a taxi though in good weather the walk is fine. I will be returning very soon

This hotel although it looks like a truckstop from the outside more than made up for it on the inside. There is a tropical pond and waterfall in a central courtyard around which a lot of the rooms are. We were able to go and use the pool and hot tub exiting our room from the patio doors staright into the courtyard which saved having to walk through the hotel in our swim wear. I was a little worried about the nose from the fountain keeping me awake at night but they turned it off so it wasn't a problem.

The food at JD's lounge was good value and enjoyable as were the doughnuts we purchased from the Tim Hortons next door to the hotel.
The room could perhaps have done with a bit of spruce up but was comfortable and up to scratch. It was also very easy to find from the highway.
