The room was just okay.

The worse thing was that the hotel was incredibly noisy. I am sure it didn't help that we had piles of people / children running from room to room up and down the hallways.

There was banging coming from the room upstairs - we thought we must have been placed under the gym it was so loud - but the front desk attendant assured us it was just a quiet woman. I can't imagine one person making that much noise, so it must be a case that this hotel is very poorly constructed and that noise transfers quite intently.

The hotel front desk took an hour and half to return our phone call about the noise complaint (and trust us, it took a lot for us to complain as we are very easy-going people). By the time they had returned our phone call it was after midnight and we had finally fallen alseep - and they woke us up with their phone call.

It was not a nice, comfortable relaxing getaway at all! We almost got up out of bed and drove home. If it hadn't been that I was worried about my boyfriend driving tired, we would have done it.

The Spa was very good.

The restaurant at the hotel (we had breakfast) was mediocre at best.

We had Japanese food around the corner and it was very good.

I recently went on a group trip where we were booked into the Executive Hotel. After reading some of the reviews, I was nervous about staying there. I found the hotel to be clean, and the staff to be very friendly and helpful. There was a large group of us, each staying in our own rooms, and I didn't hear any negative comments from anyone regarding their rooms, or the service.
For dinner, there is a fabulous German restaurant that I would highly recommend to anyone staying in Harrison.

“Rather Disappointing Experience”

I primarily based my decision to stay at Harrison Hot Springs from what I saw on their website. The room are represented as more 'suite' or 'higher-end' type rooms. I also assumed at $250 a night, that we'd at least be getting what was shown on the site. Upon arriving, we were highly disappointed in the quality of the room. It was really no better than an older Holiday Inn. We were shocked to find the room didn't even have air conditioning. I would think this would be standard in any modern hotel calling themselves a 'resort'.

Two of us ate dinner in the Lakeside Cafe and had three glasses of wine, a salad and our main courses, with gratuity it came to well over $100. Although the server was excellent, the food was mediocre at best. After paying the bill, I sat there stunned that I just paid over $100 for my meal.

We had 85 minute massages and 20 min in a private tub. The ladies who did the massages were excellent and very nice. The spa is beautiful and certainly worth it. I felt like the spa was in a different level than the rest of the hotel - or at least the portion I was staying in.

The hot springs pools themselves appeared to be in desperate need of cleaning. What looked like particles of white debris were floating in the pool water.

When we took a walk, we ran into a stranger who asked where we were staying. We mentioned at the resort and mentioned our disappointment in the quality of the room - to which he replied "Oh, you must be in the 'old' part of the hotel."

My point is that in our TWO DAY stay there, we spent over $1100. I must say I had high expectations considering it is called a 'resort.' But I honestly feel the value for what we received was really not worth it.

Otherwise, amazing views and very attentive staff.

“Great Hotel - Great Staff”

Executive Hotel Harrison Hot Springs

29 Feb 2008

This was our first time in Harrison Hot Springs and we were impressed!

The Executive Hotel is about a block from the lake, but from our room we had a great view. We spent 3 nights at the hotel and the staff was helpful throughout. The front desk was very helpful in helping us decide where we should eat throughout our stay.

Kevin - the manager of the hotel was very helpful in giving us tips of the places to go and see (even though there isnt too much to do in February).

Overall we had a great stay and we plan on going back this summer for a week!

This was our first time in Harrison - we will not be staying at this hotel again. The service was terrible - a disappointment from what was suggested on the website. The hotel room itself was regular, had minimal services, nothing close to what the website offered. I left wanting my money back from our dinner at the restaurant here. A tiny "jacuzzi" and a steam room that did not work - a place for teenagers to hang out at - as evident in the staff and quality of service provided. We are not spoiled travellers, but our limited "resort" experience was a big disappointment at this hotel. We ate elsewhere, walked along the beach and enjoyed the scenery but we will not be going back to this hotel. A BIG lesson to do more research for quality accommodations when visiting a new area. Thanks!
