I have stayed at the Best Western Northgate many times when i get stuck in Nanaimo. it's close to shopping and movie theatres, right next to Woodgrove Center and easily accessible from the highway, without having to battle downtown traffic. i find the price a little high for this class of hotel, considering that the location (between a big box retail store and Nanaimo's busiest street) is practical, but not otherwise appealing. The facilities are clean, the suites with jacuzzi tubs have three queen size beds, which makes the stay with my kids much easier. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Best Western Northgate Inn for 3 days and we had a very comfortable stay. Staff were friendly, and the
facilities were excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

My husband and I just came back from a trip to the Island. We both are very happy about our trip, especially at Best Western Northgate Inn in Nanaimo. The hotel staffs are professional and very helpful. I would definitely tell my family and friends about this hotel and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

To everyone who is a faithfull Best Western Costomers, this is not the Best Western you would expect. I have had my shares in dealing with pains, anger and frustrations with finding the best night sleep through out travels on business trips. In the last two years I came to beleive Best Western offers me the comfort that I deserve. My inlaws came for a visit from Toronto and my husband and I with my daughter took a week visit to Vancouver Island. We stayed at Best Western's in Victoria, Sidney, Nanaimo and Tofino. We found the Best Western Nanaimo had problems. Our comfort was spoiled from the room next door cause of noise through out the evening and into late hours. We took our complaint to the front personal and she did nothing to resolve our issue. The noise next door got worse and again asked the night graveyard personal and he did nothing. All we wanted was to move rooms and this was not acceptable by the clerks at this hotel. I had addressed this with a comment card attentioned to the General Manager which I never got a respond. This Hotel is very lack of professional image and security from other Best Western's. We sense this from the moment we checked in and the unrespond feedfack from the manager. The next time we are in Nanaimo I would consider the downtown Best Western.
