We stayed in this hotel whilst touring Vancouver Island, and having stayed in many other hotels during our tour, we opted to return to The Best Western, Northgate Inn AGAIN within 2 weeks!
We had a 2 Queen bed room, which was very clean, with crisp white sheets, soft blankets & was well maintained. The beds were firm, but very comfortable. Both rooms we stayed in had their own balcony, which may not have had a great view, as it is in a more commercial area, but still was nice to use.
Overall, a great hotel, in a good area for shopping and touring from. The staff were excellent, very efficient and friendly, and every request was dealt with immediately and with a smile.
There is a restaurant within the hotel, (2nd Floor) - we had a really good meal there - good price, and freshly cooked food, with a flair.
I would recommend this hotel, and would definitely visit again.

I have stayed at the Best Western Northgate many times when i get stuck in Nanaimo. it's close to shopping and movie theatres, right next to Woodgrove Center and easily accessible from the highway, without having to battle downtown traffic. i find the price a little high for this class of hotel, considering that the location (between a big box retail store and Nanaimo's busiest street) is practical, but not otherwise appealing. The facilities are clean, the suites with jacuzzi tubs have three queen size beds, which makes the stay with my kids much easier. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Best Western Northgate Inn for 3 days and we had a very comfortable stay. Staff were friendly, and the
facilities were excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family.

My husband and I just came back from a trip to the Island. We both are very happy about our trip, especially at Best Western Northgate Inn in Nanaimo. The hotel staffs are professional and very helpful. I would definitely tell my family and friends about this hotel and would definitely stay at this hotel again.
