Clean, comfortable, enjoyable breakfast, friendly staff and very convinient for the ferry!! After travelling for over 26 hours with 2 young kids the Travelodge sign was a welcome sight.
The next morning we were able to bask in the early october sunshine on our little balcony, great way to start the day.

We wanted a room for one night before catching the ferry back to Vancouver and saw the Travelodge.
Our room had a small balcony, from which the ocean was visible. The room was clean with everything we required for one nights stay. Check in was quick and the staff were friendly, recommending restaurants.
There is complimentary breakfast with cereals, bagels, toast, boiled eggs, juice and coffee and parking is free.
We liked the location, a short walk from the Harbor Walk and strolled for about an hour watching the sea birds and seaplanes taking off and landing.

THis hotel was a great value. Not the nicest place I've ever stayed. But for the price it was much better than I expected

Our family was in Nanaimo for a family funeral and the Travelodge was convenient as it was across the street. I have to be honest and say that I was a little concerned when I read about the two-star rating. But my husband who had been staying at the Travelodge over the course of a year while visiting his father assured me that it would be fine.

I knew that it would be clean and quiet, but never did I expect the phenomenal service we experienced, not from just one employee but from everyone - from the front desk to the chamber maid to the breakfast kitchen staff. They were something else. Warm, caring, helpful and friendly.

They responded to every request. Even when we were having difficulties getting our material printed, they kept working with us to make it happen. Never was there an extra charge. The kitchen staff made sure that food stuffs were continually replaced, tables cleaned and counters wiped. And always with a smile.

Similarly, the housekeeping staff were friendly. Checking on how we were doing and if we needed anything. Even after we said that we didn't need our room to be made up!

Employees at the front desk were always smiling and engaging, regardless of time of day.

The service was extraordinary but what really made a difference was that we felt that all of the staff cared about us.
