Stayed here twice in September and most impressed on both occassions. Rooms clean, large and with well equipped kitchenette. Complimentary breakfast OK but more suited to North American tastes than to ours. The patio area outside the dining room for breakfast much appreciated by smokers (like me). Otherwise entire hotel is non-smoking. We had no problems with noise (in front rooms on both occassions)but some friends staying in back rooms complained about noise from nightclub. Hotel rates seem to be very variable depending on how you book. Would certainly go back again.

Vancouver is a beutifuly city. Only downside we found was the number of beggars in the CBD streets, more numerous now than in asian cities like Bangkok or Jakarta (and more aggressive).

“great stay once again.”

We arrived tired after a 5 hour trip to Heathrow, a 9 +hour flight and a hair raising taxi ride, and the reception staff were friendly, welcoming and very quick to check us in, which was exactly what we needed. The lobby may not be as impressive here as some hotels I've stayed in, but it's quite homely and the fire makes it feel very cosy. Handy additions since my last stay 2 years ago; free internet access in the lobby and an online check in screen for your return flight.
O.K, the room decor is a little bland and in need of some updating, but our room was spotless and well equipped. My son particularly appreciated the first night bag of complimentary popcorn! The bathroom was gleaming, the towels were soft and fluffy and the toiletries of reasonable quality. The beds were very comfortable and I particularly liked the mountain of pillows!
Our room was serviced every day and maintained a very good level of cleanliness throughout our stay.
The complimentary breakfast is of variable quality; the fruit is usually very good, as are the baked goods and there is a very wide variety to choose from. A nice touch: the waffle irons and pots of batter for you to prepare your own fresh waffles every morning. Unfortunately, the hot food can be a bit hit and miss, but there's plenty of it and the eggs and hash browns were good every morning. We only used the restaurant on one evening but the meal was tasty and the waitress very polite.
The greatest asset of this hotel for me, continues to be its staff. Everyone we met was cheerful and prepared to go out of their way to be helpful. Every time we came back from a trip, one or other of the reception staff would greet us with a smile and a "Have you had a good time? Where have you been today?"
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when I am next in Vancouver.

We booked this hotel through Priceline and researched tripadvisor before booking a hotel in Downtown Vancouver. Our goal was to find something moderately priced (approx $200.00) in the downtown area that was famly friendly. This hotel is in an ok location but a walkable distance to the center of downtown and near the easy to use bus line. Next door is a medical center for low income people and there were some not-so-savory characters near their doors.

The hotel, though, was very clean, friendly service, had a pool open until 11pm and a nice kitchenette area in the room where you could reheat food or make a light meal. Also a grill for guest use outside. Given the price and extra space that comes with this type of hotel, we would stay here again when travelling with the family.

We had a corporate rate at this hotel that couldn't be beat, but as first time visitors to Vancouver and only 24 hours to see the city, I would recommend staying in one of the trendier, more scenic locations in the city.

The staff was EXCELLENT. I don't think I have ever met a friendlier staff at a hotel. This hotel has the customer service down like no other. Crystal was the person who gave us directions from the highway and checked us in when we arrived. She also called up about twenty minutes after we got to our room to ask us if we were satisfied or needed anything else.

This room was a King/non-smoking (the whole facility is non-smoking, I believe). It had a fully-stocked little kitchen, comfortable bed/bedding, and was very spacious. The only thing I did not enjoy about our room was the view. We looked out the front of the hotel and it was just sort of junky and "felt" unsafe, although I think it is a safe area.

We left the hotel in the late afternoon and walked all over the city - eventually taking a cab back, so I don't know what the immediate area is like for nightlife (also, it was a Monday night).

If you are looking for a long-term stay, the Residence Inns are always a good choice, but for a one-nighter, I would stay somewhere else and just spend the bucks for a view of the water.

We got a deal on the room, $128/night. The breakfast was good, much better than cereal and rolls. The staff was friendly and helpful. We called housekeeping for more towels and they were up at the room within 5 minutes. I then could not find the sheets to make up the fold out, they were up again in 5 minutes and were very patient with me (the sheets were in the closet the whole time!). The hotel is centrally located, different things in different directions. We did walk alot, but we enjoy walking in the city.
