I stayed here with my mother during october, on a visit to see my sister and her family. My first impression was that the room was a little small, but for the time we spent there it wasn't a problem.
Mum had the bedroom and i had the sofa bed, both were comfortable and the sofa bed was easy to assemble, though she did say the bed was a little too firm for her liking. The room was just like a home from home and was equipped with everything you would need for a self catering holiday (microwave, stove, coffee maker, kettle, toaster, washer dryer and fridge with ice compartment), though it's such good value to eat out that we tended to only use the toaster in the morning. The rooms also have two televisions, which was handy.
The house keeping was excellent as was the room service when we ordered some drinks. The front desk staff were friendly and informative, and i'd happily stay here again.
The location was good and despite the area having a reputation as the "gay" district we saw more mixed than same sex couples.
Shopping on Davie st is limited but Robson st is close by and easily reached on foot.
For those people wishing to visit the tourist attractions, the hotel has a handy touch screen guide in the lobby providing information on all the nearby attractions, and taxi's are always outside to get you there.
