My boyfriend and I stayed at the Abbeymoore for just one night en route to a wedding. What a great place to stay! We stayed in the Lilac room (I think it was called), which had a lovely queen sized bed and was a lot bigger than it looked on the Abbeymoore website. Green hues and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable with great linens. The room was not huge, but definitely enough space for the two of us. The bathroom was large with french doors opening to the bedroom. Lovely large towels and aveda products. The toilet is housed in its own room within the bathroom.
The living room of the inn is very comfortable and a nice place to sit reading the paper (which they provide). The Abbeymoore offers free internet on a communal computer, which was a fantastic amenity, especially when I needed to check the bc ferry schedules. They have a variety of books and games to chose from for entertainment, No tv in the room, which was a blessing to me.
Anne and Ian, especially Ian, are super nice and helpful. Ian gave us a great recommendation for dinner and had menus for everywhere he mentioned. Anne has fresh baked cookies (delicious) available at all times and a guest fridge stocked with free sodas and water. There were also free snacks-chips, etc available for guest comsumption.
The breakfast was great. Two courses and cooked to order. They even made my boyfriend a special meal since he did not like what was being served. The dining room has tables for 2 and a group table, so you can chose whether you want to socialize or not.
The location of the Inn was pretty good, a short drive from downtown and just up the street from Governor's House. Governor's House has a wonderful garden to walk around in, which I thought was nicer than Butchart Gardens.
The only real negative with the Inn was parking, there was not enough space in the lot when it's full, but street parking was easy.
We enjoyed our stay.
