For our 30th wedding anniversary my wife and I made our first trip to Victoria.
The highlight of our trip was the Ashcroft House.
This was, without doubt, the finest B&B we've ever stayed in.
Paulanne is a fantastic cook, and the "breakfast" was a culinary
feast. (Don't miss the smoked salmon & homemade scones!)

The home itself was spotlessly clean and well taken care of.
Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.

David (our host) helped us with reservations at restaurants, local trip planning, and made sure all of the "little details" were taken care of.

We will without doubt visit Victoria again . . . but have no interest
in staying anywhere else but the Ashcroft House.

This is the third time that I have stayed at the Ashcroft, turning up at 23.45hrs after a long flight from the UK followed by a ferry trip absolutely exhausted. Paula and David had left me a lovely note, something to eat and a sherry to make sure that I slept well as I had to rise for 6am for a conference at UVic. I introduced my wife on my second visit, and the whole family and my father will be there for a week in September.
I have read the other reviews and applaud both of them, and would only add that any critic would have a difficult job finding anything wrong with regards to the location, breakfast and owners.
I would add the 10-15 minute walk to the city centre is a must after the sumptous breakfast otherwise the pounds will pile on.

From the moment I stepped into Ashcroft House, Paulanne was more accommodating than I could have asked for. Upon my request, she assisted with sightseeing choices, tour bus tickets, restaurant selections and more. My temporary home, "The Wedgewood Room," was even more beautiful than its photos, with bedding to die for, and spotless. Breakfast was gourmet in its every flavor, a work of art, and plentiful beyond compare. Homemade scones and muffins, fresh fruit of wonderful variety, granola and yogurt, after which a full breakfast followed! It's location adjacent to Beacon Hill Park and a block from the ocean provided each day with a peaceful new walking experience. It is located in a quiet part of Victoria, and a nice walk into the busy center of town. It was where I experienced a little heaven in Victoria! Thanks to David and Paulanne, and their labor of love. I shall return.

These are people who have the B&B hospitality business down rock solid. The rooms are comfortable, the house beautifully maintained and the breakfast to die for. Rates are more than reasonable for value delivered. Highly recommended for comfort, convenience to downtown Victoria and one block from the ocean. If you enjoy walking you'll love the procimity to trails and parks.
