My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for three nights.
Night one: I accidentally ripped my shirt earlier that day, so I strolled down to the lobby to ask for a sewing kit. The lady at the front desk said sure, and then she asked me my name. I told her and she told me to hold on a minute. I waited there for several minutes while she toiled around and searched through papers. I was worried she was going to charge me for a little sewing kit. She finally pulled out some papers and said my room was paid for by Mr. Miller so I would be refunded. I told her it must be a mistake, but she kept insisting that this Mr. Miller character paid for 5 rooms, and mine was included in that. To this day, I still don't know what she was talking about. Plus she forgot to give me the sewing kit so I had to ask for it again. The room was a lot bigger than we requested (we just booked a standard room with 2 queen beds) but wound up with a king bed suite - no complaints though. The bathroom has no counter on the sink so if you're a woman who likes to keep her makeup and hair products on the bathroom counter - you'll have to keep it on the kitchen counter or bedroom dresser. Also, the air conditioner / heater / thing in the corner was the loudest I've ever heard at any hotel, but the walls were so thin we could hear the funniest laugh ever coming from next door. And that person did nothing but laugh through all hours of the night.
I was awaken on Saturday morning when the door closed. I got up to investigate and saw that the garbage can was turned over, the garbage bag was out and just left on the table, no new garbage bag was put in. And my clothes I wore the day before were missing. The janitor must have come in and started cleaning before realizing we were still sleeping, then ran out. That's all fine and everything, but when I called the front desk and asked if housekeeping found some clothes, that they belonged to me because mine went missing when they came in. The lady at the front desk said she would let housekeeping know. Suddenly there was a knock at the door. I wasn't even dressed yet. I opened the door and the cleaning lady stood there and started to yell at me saying "if you want your room cleaned this late you have to..." then I cut her off and said I didn't want my room cleaned, I was just asking if they had seen my clothes. She said she would look for them, and I told her no rush. She came knocking on the door 5 minutes later saying that the cleaning lady said she didn't touch anything in the room. I said she did because my dirty clothes were under the table the night before and now they've vanished. Needless to say, the front desk had them cleaned and wrapped in a bag and waiting for me when I checked out, but nobody called to tell us and just had me keep on thinking they never took them.
The second day, after my boyfriend showered and came out of the bathroom, there was this loud BANG. This large square thing fell from the ceiling and almost nailed him right in the head. And he couldn't get it back in there. So whenever we showered, we had to be afraid that rats, mice, or spiders might come out and land on us. You could see the pipes in the ceiling because that piece fell out. And my boyfriend isn't a ruffian or anything; he's very gentle and mild-mannered so it was not from slamming things around. That piece just fell out.
Sadly, on the third night when my boyfriend was looking out the window to view the weather, it wasn't until then that we realized we had a door that led outside to the parking lot. There is a huge, long curtain that covers the door. We also didn't get the complimentary breakfast until today but it was very good.
The wifi was the slowest for my boyfriend and didn't even work for me unless I was in the parking lot and using my iPhone. It didn't work for me in the room though.
But all in all, I enjoyed this hotel very much.
