We travelled to Hamilton for a Cirque du Soleil show and had our two daughters who were 3 weeks and 5 yrs old.
The room was fantastic, dishwasher, fridge, everything you would need (especially with a new baby!). The view was nice with a little garden in the back. There was a small pool and hot tub and a gym which is tiny, but I was the only one using it at the time, so it was nice!
The front desk staff (two men) were abssolutely professional and courteous and made us feel right at home!
The breakfast in the morning was beyong fantastic! It was more than what we could ask for!!
The hotel is located right int he heart of everything and literally two steps and a heart beat from Copps Colliseum! I will 100% recommend and use this hotel again!
The ONLY downfall is there aren't more Staybridge Suites in Canada!!! It would be the only hotel I would ever use again if I could find more around!!!

I liked the concept of this place.... nice comfortable room with a kitchenette in it, a little store downstairs at reception where you could buy snacks and essentials, and a bar / restaurant.

It felt less intrusive than the sort of places where room service is forever knocking on your door!

The bed was really comfy, and the staff (although there didn't seem to be many of them) were cheery and helpful.

Some will find the location great as it's just around the corner from a music venue.

I'd really consider a place like this for a family vacation.... plenty of space and the facilities for self catering when needed.

In response to the previous posting, I found the Asst. GM Natalia to be one of if not the most professional and courteous service professionals I have come across. When I was searching for a hotel I came across Staybridge and called and spoke to Natalia. She reassured me taht the location would suit my family members special needs perfectly. Upon vising the site, I found her to be as professional, pleasant and kind in person as she was on the telephone. The hotel itself speaks for itself, the facility is gleaming it is so clean. The suites are amazing, comfortable and spacious. Any special needs or requests that have been made have been met with nothign but graciousnees and a constant smile. How someone could have a negative thing to say about either a great facility or such a nice person is entirely beyond me. Having worked in the service industry for a very long time, I would think just because she gave you an answer you did not like, that does not make it the wrong answer. I have referred this hotel to anyone and everyone I can. I cannot say thank you enough to them for taking care of my family as if they were their own.

After a long trip, injured leg, my daughter & I anticipated a cool comfortable room on a very hot day. The room itself was nice but 83 degrees at 2:30. Location to Copp's Colliseum was perfect. Hotel maintenance could not fix the air conditioning which climbed to 87 degrees. Assistant General Manager Natalia Serniak sent us up a fan.
Requesting another room was denied due to a sold out situation despite those other guests signing in later in the day. Another request to change rooms or offer an alternative solution was denied. Natalia Serniak was considerably unconcerned or helpful in any way. Billy, at the front desk (Zvonimir Grubisic) was completely sympathetic but not in a position to override the manager. He was good at his job!
A request for monies to be returned was denied since we'd BOOKED THROUGH hotels.com and I felt it was implied that was a low level way to book. Natalia Serniak did manage to give us a phone number for expedia.ca and said she would confirm the problem if she was contacted by the them about the refund. The lack of concern or remedy sent us to Crowne PlazeHamilton where Denise exuded professionalism, courtesy and a cool, comfortable room. I've travelled and been to many hotels but never confronted this type of management. Unfortunate for a new hotel.
