We stayed at the Holiday Inn for three nights, June 7-9, 2007. We originally booked 2 nights, but later decided to add a night. When we added the third night over the phone, we were told that we would have to change rooms for the third night, but upon arrival it was no problem to have one room for all three nights.
Our room was on the 5th flooor with 2 queen beds and enough drawer space for 2 adults and 2 children. The room was very clean, with a full bathroom and an additional sink outside of the bathroom. There were complementary shampoos and a hair dryer provided. The maid service was very good, giving us extra towels every day .
The outdoor pool was fairly large and pleasant with a roped off shallow end. The indoor pool was smallish, but in poor weather kids enjoy any pool. There was an indoor hot tub that was really nice, not too hot. There was also a sauna, which we did not use.
Coco's restaurant had good food, but a little pricy. A 10" pizza was about $13. The breakfast buffet was good, with cereals, pancakes, potatos, eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, fruit, muffins. However it was exactly the same on both days we ate there, no additional variety. The buffet was $10.95. Kids can eat free, but only off of the small kids menu - they had to pay $2.95 for the buffet.
The location was excellent, nestled between the casino, the IMAX theater and the Skylon Tower. A 10 minute walk down hill puts you right next to Victoria Park, between the American and Canadian falls. We even walked to Clifton Hill and back.
We would definitely stay here again.
