“Great View, Great Staff”

Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Spa

I liked this hotel WAY MORE than I expected and would definitely go back. The view of the falls is spectacular, the beds & sheets & rooms super comfy, and the staff incredibly friendly and nice. I even liked the $20 valet parking, because there were so many valets willing to whisk our car in and out of the garage at a moments notice (we went on a few driving excursions while we were there, so the parking service was well worth it).

I particularly liked the lobby bar because it was a great place to hang out with the other couple we were travelling with. You could go with a whole gang, take over the lobby seating area, play cards, and have a great time. Or... just have a romantic getaway in your lovely room.

Don't think twice. Really nice hotel.

Would you like an upgrade to a falls view room sir, for just $20 per night. Yes said I and was happy until a nice member of staff told me all the rooms view the falls just som are higher than the others. Watch out for that con!

You dont need a falls view room, you can't miss the falls from the street from the casino from bars and restuarants all around the area.

The marriott was a good 4* standard, but prices too high $9 bottled beer, and shop was extortionate $5 chips

So stay for the room eat and drink elsewhere

I called the hotel direct to get the best deal, and see what package fit my stay best. The two night, with free buffet breakfast and a $75 dinner voucher (for their restaurant) was just perfect!! Food in Niagara Falls is especially expensive, so having these meals in place beforehand was great. Buffet had an extensive offering for all of us, and the dinner menu was a bit more limited. Entree prices could have been a bit lower, but all the food was good.

Entire staff gets a two thumbs up from me, from the Bellhop at the door, to the bartender in the lounge. I have never experienced this complete satisfaction with an entire staff at a hotel. Everyone was genuinely friendly and helpful.

The pool facility was quite lovely, however like most hotels, there was an excessive chlorine odor. The hotel should keep ventilation of this room/area as a top priority, daily.

Location of the hotel is great. They offer a free shuttle that comes regularly, and we enjoyed getting to see the drivers and getting their insight on various sites and info. about Niagara Falls. There is an overpass at the rear of the hotel, that gives you easy access to the Incline Railway ( a neat way to get down to the falls quickly).

My room on the 12th floor was just perfect. Seeing the falls from our window and waking to this amazing view every day was just incredible!! Like all Marriotts, the beds are always the reason for my hotel choice...they're the best!!

As a rewards member, the hotel offered me free use of the internet (on their computer), in their business center.

Things we did in Niagara Falls:

Adventure Pass:
Floral Clock
Whirlpool Aerocar (subbed in since Maid of the Mist was closed)
Journey Behind the Falls
White Water Walk
Incline railway
(Plus free shuttle along the river for the day pass is purchased.)

Skywheel - best to do at night, the view is incredible!

Skylon Tower - got the dinner package, and then went to the observation deck. Restaurant servers should at least try to make more of an effort. Food and service was just so-so.

Clifton Hill - was like a big carnaval, w/ all the attractions being pricey. Our group got stuck in the maze attraction and got so stressed, we crawled out the entrance.

Bird Kingdom - was alot of fun. Feeding the birds turned out to be a bit creepy / frightening to our group. The place itself is pretty cool and is worth checking out. Having the Adventure Pass, that gave us a $3 off discount vs. the $2 coupon, per admission.

Casinos - One new (6 yrs. old) and one old (11 yrs. old)

IMAX - Niagara Falls show. / The theatre is quite dated and seats have a grungy appearance. But this is a Great resource to get a lot of information on the history of Niagara Falls. Then outside there is the small museum area, worth stopping for. Actual barrels are on display.

Greenhouse - Once down by Tablerock, you can walk over to the greenhouse. It is free entry and something worthwhile doing. The place is just lovely.

“Most perfect getaway I've ever had”

I wasn't really planning on going to Niagara Falls at the end of March but came across a deal I couldn't refuse. Two nights in a fallsview room, breakfast buffet for two each morning, a $75 dinner voucher for their fallsview restaurant, a spa treatment, and free use of their shuttle for $269. Normally rooms at this place go for $300 a night during the summer with no extras so I jumped on it.

It was an absoulute pleasure to arrive here on a Sunday during their off season. The hotel was practically empty. I got suckered into upgrading to the 15th floor for $20 when I probably could have stayed on a lower floor and still had a great view because the trees were bare at the time. Regardless, we walk into the room and I seriously thought the view was a picture in the window. It couldn't possibly be that amazing, but it was. The room was great. It was completely spotless. The bathroom and shower were wonderful as well. It was awesome to crack the window open and hear the falls.

Once we unwound and unpacked, we hit the indoor pool. We could have spent our entire time here if we could. The pool was the perfect temperature and absolutely spotless. The two huge hot tubs were perfect for relaxing and that we did. We even tried the steam bath and sauna and loved them. The time we spent there was pure relaxation and heaven. Add to that my girlfriend and I were the only two people at the pool the entire time and it was heaven.

Our first night we ate at the Terrapin Grille with our $75 voucher. The restaurant is great. It wasn't busy at all and they seated us right at a window overlooking the falls. Our server was beyond efficient and friendly. Like clockwork, our entrees arrived and the falls were illuminated. For those who complain about the prices and the voucher not being nearly enough to cover dinner, lay off the liquor like we did. I think with two entrees, two desserts, and a soft drink, we barely went $10 over. We weren't looked down upon for not spending a fortune there either. Our server was just as friendly and efficient after we didn't order appetizers and a bottle of wine.

The breakfast buffet at the Terrapin Grille is the only way to go. It was fantastic and went until noon! This is what I like to see at a place I stay at. Nothing aggrivates me more than a breakfast that ends at 9:30 or 10am. I'm on vacation. I'd like to sleep in and not have to rush to breakfast, and this place read my mind. Anyway, the food was great and once again the service we had was over the top friendly. I love Canada.

Our second night we were debating on where to go for dinner. We didn't want to spend a fortune (like the infamous $30 burger at Fridays next door). It dawned on me that we had a better view than any restaurant right from our room so I rolled the table to right in front of our window and we ordered a pizza and had a dirt cheap dinner with a view that was priceless.

On the day we checked out, my girlfriend got a facial at the spa and she loved it. She came out feeling both relaxed and energized somehow and said the staff there was excellent as well.

I cannot possibly give a higher reccomendation for this hotel. I can't wait to return if I can find a deal as affordable as the one I got.

“Great View from a Wonderful Bed”

I read lots of reviews before booking a room here. Definitely a great view from the 18th floor! As many others have noted, they tried to upsell us on a Junior Presidential Suite, but our room was just fine. The bed is fabulous, with wonderful sheets and a great mattress. You might want to ask for a few more of the smaller, softer pillows -- the bed is set up with several very firm pillows for propping oneself up, but the softer ones are better for sleeping and there are only three. Awesome large Jacuzzi. The Falls are pretty accessible -- we walked down one day (coming back up the hill can be a little tiring), and took the incline railway down the next day, caught the shuttle back up. Yes, the food everywhere around here is outrageously expensive! We used our breakfast buffet coupons (say hi to Jon at the omelet station) but didn't bother with dinner. Had a decent steak dinner at Shoeless Joe's in the mall/casino next to the hotel one night, and got ribs to go from Tony Rome's across the street the next night. There's also a Quizno's across the street with fairly normal pricing. You have to read the menus in the windows and be careful... and the rampant touristy signage etc. is a bit of a distraction from the natural beauty... but if you want to spend some quality time at the Falls, this is a great place to do it.
