Arrived at Toronto airport and picked up pre booked taxi direct to Niagara, got to our hotel in just over an hour, driver agreed to collect us in two days to return to downtown Toronto for the remaining four nighs of our stay in Canada. At reception we were offered either the fifth floor in a king bed, or the 22nd with queen beds we jumped for the 22nd floor option, no extra cost!! The view from our room was exactly as the hotel website (i wrongly assumed that it was enhanced) large bedroom two arm chairs and a footstooll to relax and enjoy the veiw, nice bathroom with powerfull shower. We used the hotel restaurant $75 discount voucher for dinner for two and had two courses each with drinks which added $80 to the final bill, good food and service with an exellent view. Breakfast (which is my favourite meal) was one of the best, buffets i have had, with waitress service for coffee, juice and toast, constantly topped up. Very friendly staff. Used the pool and jaccuzi all good however the male changing room was basically an enlarged toilet with six lockers and a bench, the lockers had no facility to lock, strange given the quality of the hotel. The hotel is a short walk to the top of an incline railway that takes you down to the horseshoe falls, a longer walk takes you to the Maid of the Mist boat ride which we had a great laugh on.
Really enjoyed our stay, and would have seen more if time allowed.

This is a terrific hotel with terrific service and great rooms. We were on the 17th floor directly facing the Canadian falls. With the floor to ceiling wall of windows it was absolutely fantastic.

Our room was spacious, super clean and complete with great minibar and a whirlpool bath and separate shower. The bedding was luxurious and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was incredibly nice and super efficient.

The breakfast buffet is very tasty but not inexpensive if you don't get a deal with it included in your room rate as we did but there are several breakfast buffets offered in the area at different restaurants. If you like dinner buffets there is one at the Fallsview Casino right up the road from the Marriott that is a great value ($22) with a good selection and everything was very tasty.

And by all means take a drive or tour to the wine district and the town of Niagara on the Lake. You won't be disappointed - it's just charming. And for sure take some Icewine back home with you. It's superb if you like dessert wines.

I took my fiancee to this hotel, just for an overnight stay. I booked a fallsview room, and to be fair the view is magnificent. The hotel looks upmarket in the lobby area.

I had booked one of the rooms with a whirlpool bath and fireplace. The rooms themselves were of an average size (small for North America), the 'fireplace' was an electric light box on the wall, with blown bulbs. The air conditioning was very inoffensive - you couldn't make it go very hot or cold.

I was having a light sleep, when the most god-awful noise started coming from the bathroom. It went on. And on. I phoned reception to ask them about it. They said they'd send someone up immediately.

After 30 minutes, I rang them back. From the bathroom. I had to speak up as the noise was so loud that they couldn't hear me properly. They said they would arrange to change our room, and would send someone up with the new keycards.

I waited another 30 minutes before going down to reception to ask if they would care to actually address the problem. Very apologetic, they handed over the cards and gave me a free breakfast and parking (a hotel of this standard charges for parking?). While I was down in reception, a member of staff let themselves into the room (my fiancee was still in there) to 'clean up the mess in the bath room' Quite what mess that was I'm still not sure.

We moved to the new room, much the same as the old one. But maybe the problem was solved. Nope. The same noise again. It became apparent that the noise was, in fact, another room's whirlpool bath in action, and the plumbing was of such shoddy design that it channels the noise along the pipework into other rooms via the floor drain.

To cap it all off, the parking valet, who considered himself to be Irish, despite being second generation Canadian, spent the entire time informing how bad the English had been to 'his people'. Nice.

I'm very glad it was only one night.

Maybe the rooms away from the whirlpool baths are quieter.

“"Excellent Stay"”

Marriott Niagara Falls Fallsview Hotel & Spa

My husband and I just returned today from a 4 night stay at this wonderful hotel and I could not wait to write a review. We travel regularly and I consider myself a hotel snob! We only stay at 4 star or more establishments. This hotel met and exceeded my expectations! From the moment our car service driver pulled in front of the hotel to drop us off a smiling friendly bellman was there immediately to assist with our luggage, he escorted us to the front desk where check in was a breeze and the front desk staff was delightful, he then proceeded to escort us to our room on the 12th fl, #1208 which we had booked in advance a fallsview king room with spa tub and fireplace, the view of the falls was exquisite! The room was spotless and very well kept and the spa tub was a joy to relax in. If I wanted to be overly anal I could say that the wallpaper in the bathroom could use updating but it is not my home where I have to live with it and in light of everything else the wallpaper was a non issue for me and as stated before everything was spotless and well kept! The fireplace in our room did not burn real flames but the ambiance of the flickering light that it gave off was very romantic. We had a minor issue with the toilet backing up, I dialed the AYS(at your service) department, they sent a engineer up within 15 minutes and the problem was fixed within 5 minutes! The food in the hotel like in any other higher quality hotel is a bit pricey but if you can afford to splurge the food is worth it, we ate in the restaurant for breakfast & dinner, $17.95 for breakfast buffet, dinner menu is'nt extensive but the food is exceptional, we ate in the lobby lounge for lunch, as well as ordered room service for breakfast one morning. If you venture out there are more affordable options in dining available, right next door TGI Friday's has a breakfast buffet for $8.99, down the block the Country Chalet has a $6.99 breakfast buffet and there are several affordable food options in the Clifton Hill area which you can get to by taking the hotel shuttle, there are also a lot of family fun things to do in Clifton Hill, something for kids of all ages! The main attraction for us in Clifton Hill was the Hershey's store! All kinds of chocolate goodies and there is a sundae station that opens for the summer season! We used the hotel gym it's small but sufficient, same with the pool, there is also a coed steam room and sauna in the pool area which is really nice. We got deep tissue massages and facials done at the hotel spa, in comparsion to other spas we have been to the level of service we recieved at the hotel spa was definitely exceptional! If you're into wine be sure to take the Niagara on The Lake(NOTL) winery tour, $99pp children under 12 are free, the price includes roundtrip transportation, lunch, the tastings, and the tour. The highlight for us was the Icewine! if you've never had it and you like desert wines it is a must try! After the winery tour we were taken to the town of NOTL and given time to stroll and browse, it's a quaint but upscale bustling little town with antique shops, boutiques of all sorts, old fashioned icecream shops, restaurants, historical homes and B&B's, you can also take a horse & buggy ride through town down to Lake Ontario, $40 for 15-20 min, $60 for 30-35min, pricey but we enjoyed the ride, the scenary and the narration from our buggy driver on the town history, as well as it being very romantic! After departing the town of NOTL the tour continued with a narration from our bus driver/tour guide of the surrounding counties, there is a lot of interesting and unique history in those areas. Of course if you're driving and are good with maps and directions you can visit the wineries on your own but be sure to check the hours of operation for the date and time you want to go. We're not into gambling however we did visit the Fallsview Casino for a round on the slot machines! It was all in fun for us and the Casino itself is very nice, there is the Grand Buffett on the casino floor level that is reasonable,$12 for breakfast, $17 for lunch, $22 for dinner and the variety of food is very good. What else can I say except that the falls are amazing!!!! Our stay was absolutely wonderful from start to finish and that was due in large part to the hotel staff! From the bellman, to the front desk, to the concierge, to housekeeping, to the wait staff, and the tour desk staff, everyone was friendly, polite, and helpful. We will definitely be visiting again, we are making this destination our little getaway for rest and relaxtion which was ultimately the purpose of our trip, however if you're more of a adventurer there's plenty for you to do!!!
