We booked this hotel last minute, but we liked the standard and price. Nice to be out of season sometimes.. It was very easy to find when crossing the brigde. I was a bit worried once I saw it though. It seemed old and run down from the outside. And entering the reception from under a garage-like area was not the ideal thing, but things look better when we entered the lobby.
Friendly staff was of great help. Lobby gave a good impression once inside. We wanted to upgrade a room to a fallsview which was no problem for an extra 30 dollars. Not too bad, but the room was only 50 to begin with. And once we saw what was considered a view of the falls, it was the worst spent money ever. If we leant out from the terrace we could barely see the American Falls through the pillars of the Rainbow Bridge. My own room faced the parking lot quite low down, but room itself seemed to be a notch up from the fallsview room.
If I should say anything bad about the hotel, it must be this silly man selling bus trips in by the elevators in the lobby. I wonder what he was on.. He seemed nice enough at first, but then he just went overboard with incoherent stories about his family's origin and Danish tourists visiting some weeks before us. It was really annoying after 6 hours on the throughway in NY. It took us nearly 15 mins to get away from him. We are probably just too nice..
Also, the breakfast is good! Buffet style egg, bacon, toast and pancakes with maple syrup (why all these sweet things for breakfast in America!!) at an acceptable price.
The hotel is very recommendable!
