We stayed with Helena for only two nights as we were visiting her home as part of a series of B&B stays across the North East of the US and into Niagara.

Her welcome was warm, the home was in good condition, and the directions she had provided us were perfect.

In summary, her home is in a great location for young couples. It is about 1 mile from the crowded niagara attractions on foot, and about another mile from the whirlpool area in the other direction. Both are easy 15-20 minute walks, and nice to enjoy along the river.

Her breakfasts were very well done, but our only comment (not complaint) would have been that it was at a set time and served coursed. In other words, it begins at 9:am and lasts one hour; although some guests commented that they would have preferred to eat and get going a little earlier, or at least had a coffee and danish option on check out day.

Our room was very comfortable, and our host was very informed regarding the area. You really couldn't ask for a better environment to enjoy the Niagara area.

Book now, and rest assured that you will enjoy everything about your stay!

First, thank you Helena for your hospitality; we had a wonderful weekend! If you have never spent time at a bed and breakfast, it would be hard to imagine a better experience then the one we had with Helena at Lion's Head. Since this was our first B&B, we were not quite sure what to expect. We found Helena to be a very friendly and informative host. Her knowledge of Niagara will surely help you if you are limited in the time you have to spend. Her place is immaculate, very comfortable and a quick 30 minute walk to Murray Street (Fallsview Caino, Wolfgang Puck's, etc.) and only 10 from the Clifton Hill area. The best feature of the way Helena sets things up is that breakfast is served as a group. This is a great way to meet your fellow travelers and helps to promote a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We spent two mornings discussing a wide variety of topics over a delicious gormet breakfast, something I'm sure we were not expecting to do! You're definitely not going to do that at a hotel! In fact, you probably won't interact with anyone at all in a hotel. But we found that we enjoyed seeing our fellow housmates and inquiring about their day and what they explored. The whole social interaction greatly enhanced our visit and was a welcome change of pace. Throw in the very reasonable rate of $165 (Canadian) for the Van Gogh Room and we absolutely will return.

A two night stay at Helena's Lion's Head B&B left my wife and I wanting to stay a whole week but alas she was booked. You will not find a more informed, knowledgeable host about the entire Niagara Falls region: what to see, what's a rip off, where to eat, where to buy the best wines, which drives are the most scenic. Best of all the walk to the falls is a short 15 minutes from Lion's Head - no parking hassles, which is a very big problem at Niagara Falls.

Breakfast was truely gourmet! Helena, a trained chef, has an incredible knowledge of food. If you love food, you won't be disappointed with breakfast. Food is served with all guests present and morning conversation is very engaging because of Helena's entertaining discussion of the Falls, the region, Ontario and Canada.

The grounds, the house, the rooms are well appointed in Victoria decor, and not ostentatious. The cool morning air on the veranda was wonderful - just to sit and enjoy the Niagara River Gorge across the street, to read the morning paper and to visit with other guests waiting on breakfast.

Thank you Helena!!!

My two sisters and I took my 78 year old mother for a 2 night stay in Niagara Falls. I discovered the Lion's Head on Trip Advisor. It was fantastic. Helena is a wonderful, helpful, interesting person with great stories to tell. She was extremely helpful in directing us to great places to eat and told us how to avoid the tourist traps. The breakfasts were awesome! Our rooms were very clean and very comfortable beds. I would stay at the Lion's Head again in a heartbeat.
