I took my three kids to Niagara Falls on a whim this weekend. We stayed at the Hampton Inn North of the Falls and were not diappointed! Check in was quick and the man at the front desk (I forget his name) was very knowledgeable about the area and had lots of suggestions about activities and places to eat. The room was lovely-nice white fluffy duvets, very clean, lots of space. Breakfast was very nice-fresh fruit, pastries, bagels, yogurt, and juices. They served hot waffles and ham one day, eggs and sausage the next. Breakfast was served from 6-10, great for late sleepers and the breakfast lady was really nice too! Coffee, tea and hot chocolate were available all the time. The pool was very clean, but a wee bit shallow. The hotel is on the ravine, right by the white water walk. It is quite a walk to the falls,(3km or so) but even my 6 year old managed it with no problem. (There is also a free shuttle to the casinos/falls every 1/2 hour or so if you don't want to walk) The best part about this wonderful hotel....the price! It was only $59-$79 CAN a night (booked through Hampton Inns). It is easily worth twice the price.

Very Very clean hotel about a 5 minute drive from the action of the Falls. Bike path goes right in front of hotel and all along river. Has a great breakfast included. Stay on the Canadian side of the Falls. I could not believe how run down and boarded up Niagara Falls NY has become, probably the most depressing city I have ever been in, but Seneca Niagara Casino is the best of the 3 casinos in the area for poker.

We stayed at this hotel last weekend and I have to say that I was surprised with the result : hotel is a 2-star, but I would say more a three : it is very well located, only 5 minutes drive from the falls, and therefore very quiet, but close to main attractions. The room was big and well decorated. We were upgraded to a king bed and jacuzzi instead of 2 queen beds. The only little hitch is that we were put in a smoking room instead of a non-smoking, which was not very nice, but as we did not plan to stay in the room very long , we managed with the smell. Staff was very friendly and profesional. Breakfast was included, and not too bad for the rate of the hotel. A little bit busy in the morning hours, but ok. Parking was big and free, pool is very nice and fitness room also available. My conclusion is that I will stay in that hotel next time I will go to the falls, and recommend it to friends. I will only insist on having a non-smoking room next time. Enjoy!

stayed at the hampton on river road for six nights the room had two queen size beds with seating and desk. The location suited us as we could walk to the falls area along the niagara parkway gorge paved walkway very pleasant on a sunny day. the hotel provided a shuttle bus every half hour also with drop off points near to the attractions. The car parking was free also the breakfasts.Be aware that this hotel also caters for bus tours not that we found it problem .The staff were extremly friendly and delt with any problem quickly. There are a few eateries near the hotel we prefered to eat at the falls. We had a car so we were out most days, there is a pool on the second floor we stayed on the top fifth floor.

We were booked into this hotel by Expedia. It cost more than other middle ranked hotels in the area but we like Hampton Inns and were willing to pay the additonal money. When we arrived at the hotel they had no record at the front desk of our reservation. After checking with the manager in the back room the clerk told us the reservation had just arrived. She also informed us that the hotel was totally booked and we would have to go to the Days Inn at a different location. She said this hotel was run by the same owner as the Hampton. The Days Inn was an okay hotel but was half the price of the Hampton. I really did not like the way we were treated by Expedia or the Hampton Inn. Upon calling Expedia customer service several days later we were told we would have to call the hotel ourself to get a refund. I will NEVER book a hotel through Expedia again. I felt that the important thing for them was getting our reservation and then letting Hampton deal with us. From now on I will pay the extra dollars and go directly through the hotel reservation service. We are out about 100 dollars and neither the hotel or Expedia seems to care.
