Had a great time and the Lodge was clean, neat and right in the middle of things. Will stay again here on the next trip. We got a package deal but did not like the "Red Ruby" resturant next door to eat in. Will skip the package deal next time.

ServiceFree parking and continental breakfast (downstairs at Ruby Tuesday, so plenty of seating)-- same each morning (waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, fruit). As the another poster mentioned, sit down by the window for a falls view breakfast. Location convenient -- short walk to Falls, Casino Niagara, restaurants.
We had a whirlpool room. The furnishings in the room were clean and good condition, except the mattress was saggy-- I think the mattress was the only part of the room not updated recently. We both had achy backs. Whirlpool large, beautiful and clean. Bathroom also very clean, no mildew in sight.
Our room faced the street ,(actually out door seating for Ruby Tuesday was right outside the back window). I was worried this could be an issue, but decided we would try it for a night, and if noise and issue would request a change. I think due to the season/weather, there were never any customers seated in the area by our room. At night, we could hear sounds from the near by funhouse/wax museums, it was not overpowering but if you are a light sleeper, you would want a room facing away from the street. The sounds did seem to stop between about midnite- 9am.
Staff we interacted with were all friendly.

Spent two nights and three days here in Niagra Falls, could not fault the hotel, room very clean and comfortable, no noise from the outside which was surprising considering how close we were overlooking Clifton Hill, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was of the continental variety and was more than adequate, if you get the right seating you can see the Ameriacan Falls whilst having breakfast which is quite something. Hotel was within walking distance of all amenities. We would book this hotel again with no problem.

The best thing about this hotel is that it is close to everything. Even though it is on busy Clifton Hill you couldn't hear any noise from our hotel room.
We made reservations six months in advance with a senior citizen rate and they gave us the top (3rd) floor far from everything. You would think booking so far in advance and being a senior citizen they would have given us a room on the 1st or 2nd floor. The worst thing was that there were no elevators and it was very difficult to bring our suitcases to our room or even return to our room after a long day of walking the hills of the Niagara Falls area.
The room itself was horrible - the view from the window was a cement wall, the air conditioning did not cool the room enough for a hot August day, and the carpets were stained and had burn marks for a non-smoking room. The pool itself was okay but the pool area was a mess and half of the furniture was old and broken. The breakfast that was included was okay if you like cereal and toast. The friendliest hotel staff member was the elderly gentleman who was the parking attendant, the others just seemed as if you were bothering them.
This is definitely not a hotel for people with health problems or the elderly - remember no elevators. Spend a few extra dollars and stay at a hotel that you can REALLY enjoy!

We booked this hotel based on good reviews on TripAdvisor, and because it cost substantially less than the newer high-rise hotels (and we wanted to save our money for tourist activities instead). For the price, it was GREAT. The location is right there on beautiful Clifton Hill: 1) literally a block from The Falls, so you can just walk down to the Maid of the Mist boat ride and other tours, no need to drive or take a shuttle; and 2) right in the midst of a Vegas-style tourist strip of bright lights, music, and family-friendly popular attractions. Parking was easy at the hotel and free since we stayed there. This Travelodge is definitely not new, but our large room, for two adults and four older children, was clean, cool in July, and comfortable, with three double beds and a nice modern bathroom. Waiting for us were enough towels, pillows, and bath amenities for all six of us -- rare attention to detail even in more upscale hotels. The room also had a microwave (with complimentary popcorn -- happy kids) and a small fridge. We didn't use the outdoor pool, but it looked very clean and inviting. Next morning's continental breakfast, included, was a little slim, mostly to-be-toasted items, cereal, and some fruit salad, but that was the only aspect that did not exceed our expectations. The desk staff was pleasant and informative about the area, and even after we checked out, allowed us to leave our car parked for free while we took a tour of the natural wonder that is The Falls. We were delighted with our stay in Niagara Falls, Ontario, and enthusiastically recommend the Travelodge on Clifton Hill.
