We are a family of three, 38, 36 and a 11 years old boy. English is not our native language, but we will do our best to write this review.
We were visiting The Falls for the first time and needed to stay on an affordable hotel that met our budget. We selected this hotel based on reviews found in this page and we want to share our own experience. You will have two different points of view in this review: my wife’s and mine.
1- My wife is a picky kind of person, speaking of hotels and she was disappointed with our selection. It was Okay to me.
2- The most important thing for any traveler is the bed´s comfort. My wife: She said that matresses are old, and in terrible shape. Bed clothing was clean. Mine: I found the beds a little old, but I returned at night tired and didn't mind at all. My wife: Carpets showed some stains and she disliked them. Mine: I have to agree with her on this.
3- The furniture of the room is good, but also a little bit old. The room had two sinks, one inside the bathroom and one outside. We found this very convenient. But there was no closet in the room, only a "rack" to hang our clothes.
4- The air conditioning was fine. Nothing spectacular but it did the job.
5- The shower pressure and temperature were perfect. Bathroom was very clean and had an excelent adequacy of supplies.
6- The lightning of the room was insufficient, we had to turn the lights on during the day.
7- My wife noticed a funny/disgusting smell in the room, like a cheap cleansing product. I didn't notice, or I should say, didn't mind.
8- Hotel claims on their website to have internet access in the rooms, but this is not true. It can only be accessed on the hotel's lobby. Free parking is included. We arrived late at night and always found a place to park.
9- Hotel has its own restaurant, but we never give it a try. There are a lot of places on Lundy's Lane to eat.
10- TIP: Front Desk informed us at check-out time and after my complain that they are changing matresses (not confirmed by us). Make sure to ask for a room with new matresses.
We could have stayed at Clifton Hill (closer to The Falls) but it was more expensive and we were trying to avoid crowds and Cliftoh Hill's wild nightlife. Travelodge Bonaventure's location is quieter and if you have a car, it's easy to go to The Falls (which are five minutes away).
