“Best Place for Your Money”

Travelodge Niagara Falls Bonaventure

We just stayed there June1st-3rd. It was our romantic weekend getaway. We booked the heart shaped jucuzzi suite. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. We didn't use the pool but it looked really clean, and the breakfast (although not included) cost us less then $15 for 2 of us and was really great. If you're looking for a place at the falls that isn't right in the heart of cliffton hills, this is it!!!!!!!!!!!

This motel is located approximately 5 minutes driving from Clifton Hill in Niagara Falls. Its walkable to the falls area but will probably take you a while. The desk staff is super nice and extremely helpful. The hotel is clean and the room was extremely large and clean. We stayed over New years and the motel was extremely quiet. Overall I suggest you stay here. I have no complaints.

Stayed at the Bonaventure for 3 nights Dec.26/2006( hockey tournament) Checking in and out a breeze! 2 queen room with outside vanity was handy.Room was very clean and made up eveyday. We requested a rollaway cot and it was in the room and made up when we arrived.Pool was a big hit as well as the sauna. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I would stay again.

We recently returned from a 3 night stay at Travelodge Bonaventure. Four adults and two children in a room with three queen size beds, refrigerator, cable tv, air condition (worked great) clean floor, beds, bathroom and shower/tub. We also had another group with us that stayed in a three queen bed room. There was plenty of room, the staff was friendly, the restaraunt on the property was a great place for breakfast. We had a 9 month old, 3 year old, 10 year old, and 16 year old that loved the pools. The indoor pool was exceptional with plenty of room for numerous people, a hot tub and sauna room, with changing rooms nearby. The outdoor pool was right outside most of the rooms. Landscaping and buildings were neatly taken care of. I would definitely consider staying at this hotel again and would recomend it. It was a direct shot to everything as it allowed us to swing around the back way towards MarineLand to park near CirqueDeNiagara for cheaper parking at Rapids Point parking which included free people mover shuttle to falls attractions. The only problem I had was the wireless internet was not accessible from rooms in the back building. I had to use my computer in the lobby or indoor swimming pool area. It really wasn't that bad though because I could do my computer work when others were in the pool area.

We just returned from a two night stay at the this hotel. I had booked after reading recommendations here on Tripadvisor. While the hotel is clean and the staff friendly and accommodating there are a few problems which made our stay uncomfortable.

For starters, the elevator smelled so bad that I had to hold my breath while using it. I think it was some cleaning solvent or disinfectant. Lordy did it ever smell bad .. ! Other guests made comments about the smell too. I eventually thought to spray perfume in it before I could use it.

Second, the hallways are not air conditioned and they were like a sauna. Speaking of air conditioning ... the air conditioning in the room was so forceful that I ended up with an ear ache from the cold air blowing on my ear all night, and our bed was on the other side of the room. It was 30 degrees Celsius outside and we needed the air conditioner on.

Thirdly, the bromine in the hot tub was so strong that it reduced the print on my husband's bathing suit, tarnished my silver ring and was so strong that even after two showers we could still smell it on us. As well, the pool water was too cold; we could not use it. Had the water been warmer we still could not have used the pool as there were six kids using it one night and they were screaming, diving and doing cannonballs into the pool. We are in our 60's and would have been fearful of being hurt. The sauna though was very nice.

Would we stay there again ... No, I doubt that very much. It was reasonably priced and clean and the staff was friendly but that's all it had going for it.
