My husband and I went to Niagara Falls for a weeknight getaway. We booked a king size, fallsview suite.

The hotel was convenient and easy to find. The check-in process was easy and the valet service was great (but there is a charge). We had a room near the top, but we never had problems with elevator service to and from our room.

The room itself was spacious, but we were disappointed by the decor. The beds were okay, but definitly not the best! The mattress wasn't very comfortable and the bed linens were really outdated. The bathroom was - mostly - clean and functional. The jacuzzi tub was very large and nice, but the tiled shower was old and looked liked it needed a good scrubbing.

The view was great - who doesn't like looking at the Falls. But I don't think we had the best view from our room (our room faced the Minolta Tower). If we go back we will ask to stay on the side that does not face the Minolta Tower where the room numbers end in 2-8.

The pool area looked nice, but it was very busy. Surprising since we stayed during the week and it was technically 'offseason'... Breakfast was included in our stay, but the selections were slim and not very good.

The ultimate cost was wonderful and made for all around good value. We found a great deal on Travelzoo, which included the cost of the room, breakfast, and dinner vouchers for $125/night.

We would consider going back because of the location and the size of the suite. But I wish there was a bit more to do at the hotel and the room itself was a little nicer. Updated bed linens and a little fresh paint would make a big difference here.

I got a travelzoo Deal for Friday May 2, which included breakfast, $40 for dinner at TGI Fridays or the hotel steakhouse, and a shuttle to take you to the other attractions in the area. This was a great hotel. Was price but considering I got the freebies it wasn't too bad. The Fridays on the resort was more expensive than normal but food was good. My girlfriend and I were able to have a decent meal and money left over for a dessert. We had a Whirlpool/Fallsview room. The view was excellent. We were on 12th floor and had a view of both falls and the Fallsview casino. The casino was in walking distance and the shuttle was very prompt and went to all of the attractions in the area except Marineland which we weren't going to anyway. The only problem I had was with the $20 valet parking. However it's expensive to park everywhere in Niagara falls and we had in and out service. An Excellent stay and an excellent hotel. I would recommend it to anyone.

Niagra Falls Canadian side: Embassy Suites..What a view!

We, my HB and 8yo son just returned from a road trip to Niagra Falls. This is truely, an at least once in a life time places to visit. It was a request from my son who had read a book about it and we were looking for someplace to go for spring break. We researched many of the hotels, many of which offer a "Falls" view, but chose Embassy Suites because of their breakfast, managers reception and a special offer which included a $45
dinner voucher and free bus shuttle to 4 areas during your stay.
-Getting there...we drove from home, not a teriible drive just long.
It took about 5-6 hours. Make sure you have pass ports or ID,
even for children as you are thoroughly questioned when crossing the border both ways.
-Hotel...This ES delivered the expected fine level of service as the many others we have stayed at even tho it was in Canada. The valet service was very friendly . However, they park your car "somewhere". You are informed it takes at least 15 mins to get, which is true. There is very limited parking for this and many hotels and the only choice is valet parking which is an extra $20/per day. We had booked a falls view upper floors. My HB asked for an upgrade and was offered a presidential suite for an addtional fee of $40 per night. We accepted and what a room. It had a panoramic view of both American and Canadian falls,
2 person jacuzzi tub and fire place. Yes, it was pricey but well worth it for the spectacular view. There are many other name brand hotels that have views, but we feel ES had the best. For those on a budget, the ES has rooms with a city view for much less, along with a huge choice of hotels, motels, casinos & BB.
The only negatives: many hidden Canadian taxes which escalate
the cost of the room by 30-50 dollars when you include the valet
parking, along with the same room costing 30-50 dollars more on friday and saturday stays. Also, not impressed with the pool and hot tubs. Very crowded and did not appear clean enough for me. There were 2 very nice hot tubs, but they were full of kids with gogles, t shirts swim shoes, ect. The managers reception
was from 3:30 to 10:30 with snacks from 3:30 to 7:30. You are issued a ticket for only 1 cocktail pp per day and that is it! But you can purchase additional drinks if wanted. The breakfast was well managed. You are seated by a hostess to tables in the Keg resturante which has an excellent view of the falls. A waitress takes and brings you coffee and juice orders. The buffet is pretty much the standard ES style and quality. We were pleased with the shuttle service which ran every 30 mins. It does drop you off at 2 of the casinos but you can easily walk to many of the tourist areas from there.
-Touring the sites...you can take several tours from the hotel for a fee which takes you to many of the attractions, walk or drive.
However parking is very limited and there are parking fees everyplace ranging from 6-15 dollars. We were still in "off season" so much to our disappointment Marineland, Maid of the mist and walk behind the falls was not open. The area is full of your typical touristy places to spend money, wax museum, believe it or nots, golf, shops, eateries, casinos, ect. So be prepared to spend $$ if you bring children. There are also several indoor water parks but also $$$ unless you are staying at that hotel.
-A nice surprise..we took a car ride to Niagra on the Lake. A very
pretty & historic area with lovely shops and eateries. This is a very scenic ride along the river gorge to Lake Erie and we noticed
several wine route signs. WOW, we never knew that this region is a hidden gem of breath taking vineyards and over 50 wineries that you can visit. The area is also exclusively known for Icewine.
This area is a must for wine lovers!

Just returned from our 2 night stay at the Embassy Suites Niagara. We had a great time and the weather was PERFECT!! Low to mid 70's everyday. The hotel was very nice and our room view was spectacular!! The room was great with a tiny kitchen area with sink and fridge. The bathroom was great with a jaccuzzi tub and I loved the windows that opened out to the bedroom from the tub so you can see the spectacular view while soaking. The buffet breakfast was GREAT!!! I really don't know how anyone can complain about it. $20.00 per day for valet parking was a bit much but we were aware of this before coming as I always read reviews. Yes, there is a lot down the street that is only $5.00/day however never being there before we were not aware of the whereabouts of this lot and did not feel like driving around to find it and also had a lot of luggage, so it was just easier to valet. The only complaint I do have is that I booked the magic show package and when we arrived we were told that it had been cancelled so they offered us tickets to some other show. We accepted these but then found out that this show was in no way equal to the price we paided to see the original show. We returned these tickets to the desk and I have to say they were very nice and had no problem reimbursing our money. I just think we should have been notified prior to our arrival. Otherwise we had a great time and would return here again. I believe that the complaints that you may read in other reviews are real but they apply to the high season. We were totally off season to go. The falls were almost empty most of the time. People complained about the buffet breakfast being too crowded. This was not the case for us however there were a lot of people there at breakfast so I can just imagine what its like at peak season. Also there was no Maid of the Mist running, does not start until May 2. We did do the Journey Behind the Falls which was great as maybe there were 20 total people there when we went however again I can tell it must get pretty crowded to get in there as there are sooooooo many turn style in and out bars for the lines to wrap around so you know it can get pretty busy. I would not return in peak season. We ate dinner at the Keg Steakhouse and it was EXCELLENT!!!!! The staff was so nice the view at any of the seating was spectacular!!! This was also the same place the buffet breakfast was seated. We also ate at Wolfgang Pucks restaurant. VERY GOOD!! Everything was a bit expensive but was expected. We are gamblers so 2 nights we gambled at the Casino hotel. Beautiful Casino, very big, what can I say, we lost, lol. Again we had a great time and would highly recommend the Embassy Suites. Oh going back to other reviews, we did NOT have to wait at all for elevators or for our car from the valet but again I can see all this happening during peak season. So unless you are a very patient person and don't mind crowds don't go during prime time.
