Although I didn't find Niagara Falls to be that exciting, the hotel itself was just right. If you are looking to be close to Clifton Hills, then the location is wonderful. With that said, you are still only @ a 10 minute walk to view the American Falls. If you want a closer view of the Horseshoe Falls, you will have to walk @5-10 more minutes. Note: you can get a distant view of the American falls from the 7th floor of the hotel. It was handy, if you wanted a night light view of the falls and didn't want to go out.
The hotel offered coffee/tea and DELICIOUS cookies all day long. The front desk personnel was very friendly and helpful with advice and assistance. Breakast was adequate, but if you are looking for a hot, cooked breakfast you will have to pay and go elsewhere. The indoor pool was in need of vacuuming, but it and the hot tub certainly were an added bonus at the end of the day. They also had a small exercise room and billiard room, which we did not use. Definitely for the location, cleanliness, staff and price it was a value at @$240 US for three nights in a 2 dbl bed room. The only down side is that, unless you booked a suite and paid more, the room did not have a refrigerator or microwave. And even though the color scheme was appealing, it tended to make the room a little dim.
I would also recommend renting a car and dinner at the Skylon Revolving restaurant. The restaurant was pricey and the food is mediocre, but the view, atmosphere and staff were well worth the splurge.

We stayed at this resort for two nights - Apr.24 & 25/09 and were very disappointed that the pool was closed. When we checked in they had a sign on the front desk - "Pool Closed until APRIL 30/09". When we question the front desk they stated it was closed and offered no apology. One of the reasons we did book this hotel was for the Pool.
Live & learn I booked this Hotel via internet, next time I think I will call before to ensure that the ammenties have not changed for our stay.
The front desk staff were not very friendly they forgot to give us our parking pass and when I went back to get it they just passed it to me with "Here" again no apology.
We had no problems with the room, comfortable bed, very clean, lots of towels and the maid did a very good job.
The location is perfect - you can walk to Casino Niagara (right across the street) and Cliffton Hill is approx a 5 min walk.
All in all you can not go wrong with this hotel just remember to ensure you get what you pay for by making that call first.

My family and I desided to go on our first family vacation ever. My husband and I have 3 young children, so finding the perfect hotel was a must.
Well WE DID!! This hotel was by far one of the best family hotels. I would compare it to the holiday inn ,but far nicer and better.
The continental breakfast was amazing to say the least ,warm waffles ,toast ,bagels ,yogurt ,coffee ,cereal ,all kinds of pastry's ,it was really good ,they had a little something for everyone ,we were all satisfied.
I would definetly recommend this hotel ,the location is so good ,just 2 monutes to the Clifton hills and about 10 minutes to the falls.
The staff is very friendly and try to accomodate all your needs ,they always have a jar of cookies on the front desk ,the kids in all of us like this :0)
All in all it's a wonderful place to be ,and we are for sure going back this summer 100% !!!

We stayed in early April 09. The only thing I didn't like in the actual hotel room was the feather pillows they provide you for your bed (not enough support so you will want to bring your own). I will also say that the shower head pressure was VERY low and it took forever to rinse soap and shampoo. Toilet a bit confusing-didn't look American to me. There were buttons on the top of the tank and I didn't know which one to push to flush--took some getting use to. We didn't eat breakfast there since it was very typical. Try Tim Horton's--they are everywhere and have coffee and good donuts. For lunch, Pizza Antigua is a very authentic brick oven pizza place. Definitely go to Sandstone, right behind the hotel...I was amazed at how good it was and the decor is very elegant although it is a casual place. Rainforest Cafe is good too but like $15 for a hamburger with fries. Kelsey's was also great. DO NOT go to Planet Hollywood!!! It was very pricey and food was cold. The hotel is at the end of Victoria ave, near a main intersection, but we didn't hear a lot of street noise. It wasn't a very far walk to most places either so that was a plus. Overall, you can't beat the price and location. We didn't have noise problems from our neighbors like some reviewers are saying.

Stayed over Easter weekend. Hotel was clean, staff nice. Was a bit noisy - walls were thin and we had very rude guests staying on either side of us but not hotels fault. Breakfast was typical fare. - waffles, bagels, etc. Hotel was located with easy walk to everything. Would stay here again. Must pay for parking which is kind a crazy since you're staying there!
