My boyfriend and I decided to take a last minute holiday in Niagara-on-the-Lake, since I had never been there before, but had heard so many wonderful comments about it.

We searched the internet for B&B's and he found the Post House Inn. It was a little expensive compared to others, but it was the pictures of the Inn and its rooms that drew us to it. He called the Inn directly and made reservations. From that first call, the Innkeeper, Barbara, went out of her way to welcome us and arrange our itinerary.

The Post House Inn is beyond beautiful. We stayed in the Coach Room, which occupied the top floor, with a king size bed with sumptuous bedding, a kitchen with wet bar, a jacuzi tub for two, and gas fireplace. It was a fabulous room.

We made good use of the outdoor pool, which was situated within beautiful gardens.

The breakfast room is outstanding and so were the home made breakfasts, with the table lavishly set each morning. We were the only Canadian guests the two days we stayed there. We had great conversations with the American guests and Barbara and her husband Charles made everyone feel at home. Barbara's little dog Baboo will steal your heart.

Be careful when you go to the Post House Inn - it is too difficult to leave. We will absolutely be back sometime, hopefully in the near future.

Everything was great! The house and room was beautiful, just like the pictures on their website. The breakfasts were very tasty, and we enjoyed talking to the other guests during breakfast. The town is so cute, and full of great restaurants. I would highly recommend the Post House Inn.

Best bed and breakfast experience so far. Perfect location close to Queen St. but felt like miles away from bustle and noise. Barbara was a wonderful hostess and made sumptous breakfasts every morning. Beautiful pool and grounds. I will definately be staying there again.

We had heard about the beauty and charm of Niagara-On-The-Lake but nothing did justice to the town or the wonderful bed and breakfast we stayed at. Having never been to a B&B before, we were not sure what to expect. We booked our room at the last minute, a week before we were scheduled to leave for our 2 year anniversary celebration. The Inn is centrally located, just steps away from the shops, minutes away from the theater and a nice bike ride away from the wineries. Barbara was a wonderful hostess from the minute I booked our stay, making suggestions for entertainment and dining and exhibiting the great enthusiasm she has for her home. The photos on the web-site does not do the historic building justice. The antiques and decor were breathtaking and although we stayed in the smallest of the rooms, "Mrs. Lansing", we felt like we were staying in a four star hotel. The breakfast was fabulous and the company was even better. Barbara had great ideas of how we could spend our days in town and immediately assisted in securing rentals and reservations for us. The ambiance was very romantic and relaxing and much more private than we had anticipated. Her little dog Babu was usually out of sight but when we got the pleasure of sneaking a minute with him, he was a perfect gentleman and added to the warmth of the home. My husband and I would absolutely recommend this B&B to anyone who is interested in a romantic getaway or girls weekend (which Barbara specializes in) and cannot wait to return for another visit.
