Aldo, Graham & Rufus are the most receptive hosts we've ever met.
The rooms are just perfect. The location, a bit far away to downton (car needed), but on the other hand very calm. And the breakfast: SOPERB!

My wife and I had a 20 days travel in Canada last October (2007). We stood in good hotels all over the trip. Britaly was the only B&B and, undoubtedly, it was our best stay.

You will like it. No chance to dislike it!

My husband and I recently traveled to Canada to celebrate our 2nd anniversary. We had heard wonderful things about Niagara-on-the-Lake, so we decided to pay a visit. Based on the stellar Tripadvisor reviews, we decided on the Britaly B&B. We were not disappointed with our choice.

While the B&B is in a relatively modern home, it abounds with lots of warmth and charm and is beautifully decorated. Aldo and Graham, the hosts, could not have been been more friendly or welcoming. The breakfasts, on an impeccably set table, were so filling and delicious that we ended up skipping lunch on both days because we were too full! We enjoyed great conversation each morning with Aldo, Graham and the other guests. "Homey" and "cozy" are words I would use to describe this B&B. My husband and I truly felt like we were staying with friends, the feeling was that comfortable and relaxed.

There are only two very small downsides I see to this accommodation. The parking is limited to the driveway and I would imaging that some shuffling of cars would be needed if there's a full house (there wasn't either night we were there). The location is convenient, but it would be best to have a car to get to the different wineries and to the "downtown" area.

Plus, no review would be complete without mention of the Britaly "mascot," Rufus. Rufus is the sweetest, friendliest dog you'll ever meet and another wonderful part of a Britaly stay.

Thumbs up to the Britaly B&B!

My husband and i stopped here for for three days.Graham and Aldo were excellant hosts.Very homely and comfortable Although you would need a car to get into the town we walked it comfortably in 20 mins. The room was very clean and well deccorated.Im leaving the best till last.the breakfast.Every morning something different was served ALL home made even the different muffins which were still warm from that mornings baking. My wife and I stayed for two nights here at the end of a holiday to Ontario.

We thought the hosts very welcoming and friendly and their attention to detail was superb.

Whilst the location is one mile (or slightly less) from the centre of Niagara-on-the lake (charming) it was very quite and in a very respectable neighbourhood and with easy access to the Niagara parkway
road and local vineyards (like Pellars - recommended). Guests can also make use of bicycles if required.

The Canadien room was bright, airy and with traditional styling, yet with modern accessories. Excellent own bathroom was opposite (this room is a little less price than the other two rooms available which were on-suite). The other rooms looked equally fantastic. Nice touches included notification of 4 course breakfast for the following
day, complimentory chocolates each day, and wine glasses and cockscrew in the bed room and tea / coffee available outside the room
on the landing every morning before breakfast.

The breakfast was different each day and always 4 course. The standard of food was excellent.

The gardens are lovelly and the whole house was excellently tastefully decorated (in traditional manor) and cleaned. A credit to their hosts.

Given the more expensive alternative B+Bs on offer, this was a comparative bargin and an excellent find!

We would recommend this B&B to anyone looking to stay in Niagra-on-the-Lake.

“Fantastic B&B!”

Britaly Bed and Breakfast

11 Oct 2007

My fiance and I have stayed twice at the Britaly and it probably won't be the last! Our first stay was in Oct 2005 and this was our first time staying in a B&B. The rooms are a very good size, we have stayed in both the English suite and Italian suite. The decor is stylish and very welcoming, we made ourselves at home and almost didn't leave!!! It is also easily accessible to the town and vineyards.
Probably what makes the Britaly stand out is the amazing breakfast. Every morning you can indulge in home made granola with fruit, homemade muffins followed by varying egg dishes. Needless to say you probably won't need lunch that afternoon!!! Graham, and Aldo pay attention to detail and this is what makes the stay for us so special. In the evenings your bed is turned down and a gourmet chocolate is placed on your pillow. In the mornings, fresh brewed coffee awaits you outside your bedroom. What more can you ask for!
Our second visit was this October with my fiance's parents and once again the Britaly was exceptional. We have recommend the Britaly to friends and family as we are getting married in the area next year. Now we are regretting telling everyone about our favorite B&B as we might not be able to get a room for ourselves!!!

Thanks Graham, Aldo and Rufus for a wonderful holiday!

Rochelle & Paul
