We stayed at this inn for 2 nights in September. We stayed there as part of a visit to Niagara Falls, preferring a quieter location away from the neon lights of Niagara Falls. The inn and grounds are lovely, quiet and peaceful. Our room was huge with a lovely view to the gardens. The staff was friendly and helpful. I think the prices for the rooms are a bit high but they seem competitive with comparable inns in the area. The restaurant is pricey, especially the regular (versus the lounge) menu. You can only order from the lounge menu in the lounge (not the main dining room) which seemed a bit snooty for my taste. The quality of the food from the lounge menu was mixed, but some items were delicious (try the smoked chicken sandwich). We had excellent service from the restaurant staff. The drive to Niagara Falls was beautiful and not a problem although we were visiting in September when there were fewer tourists. It might be a problem during the peak season. Overall, I would recommend the Riverbend Inn.

Just returned from an overnight stay at Riverbend Inn. Room very comfortable and roomy...beds great. Staff exceptionally friendly and breakfast really nice.
Would stay again....beautiful grounds and all very well maintained.

SLOW service! Appetizer (scallops) off lounge menu was EXTREMELY SALTY! Tilapia off menu was SALTY and served over overpriced tomato chunks and a few peas with a fancy name. Beef tips were nothing great, served with potatoes with a fancy name were french fries with sea salt. Go to a local bar and pay half the price instead. Also- if sitting outside- be prepared for a sewage smell. HORRIBLE $100 WASTED! We should have complained more- but only one waiter available. UGH! Bypass this place!

This is the first time I stayed in an inn. I wish we had 2 nights there instead of one, but it was a last minute decision.

First of all the location, a mansion in the vineyard, just outside the village is just perfect.

The house is beautiful and well kept. The Georgian decoration is not my thing but it is done tastefully and not over the top.

Our room 221, was large with a small balcony (no chair on it). The view was perfect (see picture). There was a seating area: coffee table and sofa (pull out bed), a desk and chair, 2 double beds and a large closet. The bathroom was large and I loved the deep tub.

We had a great dinner on the patio, facing the vines and the Peller estate. (the people behing us telling their friends they should use tripadvisor ;-) )

Why don't I give 5 circles?

because... I thought there should be a chair for the balcony. I would have expected bathrobes in the bathroom. There was only one square of soap by the sink, none by the tub (but it is one of the nicest hotel soap I ever got).
We waited for ever at our breakfast table for our meal. When I requested more coffee, the waiter aknowledged my request but didn't not come back. People next to us also waited more than 30 minutes and decided to leave. Well... once served the food was excellent.

We have stayed twice at The Riverbend Inn in Niagara on the Lake, as well as sending my husband's elderly parents there for a special anniversary celebration and cannot say enough about all it offers travellers, whether they are in town to go to the theatre, visit wineries, shop or simply relax.

The location is convenient for all sights, just down the road from Peller Estates winery. The rooms are very large by hotel standards and the furniture and decorating in keeping with the traditional nature of the Inn. It is a wonderfully charming property with all the amenities one could wish for, unless a pool and fitness room is a requirement.

We very much enjoyed our dining experiences, both breakfast and dinner, particularly with the view over the vineyards on the property. Simply lovely. And found the staff from the front desk, to the dining room and housekeeping, extremely helpful and accomodating, particularly when making arrangements for our parents. All the details were looked after from dining reservations to theatre tickets.

If you truly want to enjoy your experience in Niagara on the Lake, then stay at the Riverbend Inn.
