Stayed Oct 5-8, 2007 to celebrated our 20th. Hoppy's was recommended by a nearby Hotel, so we tried it. I have never felt so at home in a B&B in all our travels including Ireland. A beautiful and clean home in a well kept showcase neighborhood just minutes from the river, shops and Shaw theatres. Luxurious King bed for a person with a bad back. Hosts were always helpful, smiling, professional, respected the privacy of their guests and yet engaging and loved to laugh along with us. Breakfasts cooked by a chef (!!) with homemade fruit breads, jams and pastries. We enjoyed each morning chatting with Terrance and Ani and the other guests, our days started out upbeat, relaxed and happy just from setting down at the kitchen table. Rooms very clean and the living room great to cozy up in with a book. We fell in love with Odie the wonderful dog of course, he too is welcoming and trained wonderfully by his masters. I think he brings all good things to those who pet him each day. We were given lots of ideas of places to go and see, as well as vouchers and even web links and recommendations before hand so we could make dining reservations ahead of time. We took in wineries, plays, antiques, window shopping, galleries and lots of stops at the Irish Harp (Irish pub) - many of these suggested by our hosts.. TV was in the room, but so busy and so relaxed when back home, that it was only used when leaving to check the traveling weather! Future guests will be blessed to find their way to Hoppy's welcoming door as the Inuksuk in their front yard conveys. When we come back, we will return to Hoppy's ... Beautiful people inside and out.
