“Just like coming home”

Hoppy's Bed & Breakfast

Hoppy's B & B is truly a home away from home. I know you've all heard this before but Terence and Amitha truly show you hospitality and create an atmosphere of comfort and respect for what you need. My friends and I return yearly to enjoy their home, their pool and their wonderful breakfasts that are truly gourmet.

Everyone should try this lovely B&B at least once and you will never want to stay anywhere else. Hoppy's is affordable, comfortable and welcoming....what else can anyone ask for. So, give yourself a gift and choose Hoppy's - you won't regret it. Happy vacationing....

Lina and the gang.

I was glad I chose this b and b. When I arrived, gracious host Amitha served an iced tea that was so good. And when I saw the room, (we booked the cinnamon bark room) it was gorgeous! Bed was very comfy. I havent slept like a baby in such a long time. The location is not so far from the quaint lil shops. The area is so quiet. Breakfast was great, ask for the asian fusion, and for sure you will love it too. Fruits and homemade scones for breakfast makes me wish I was there longer than 2 nights. Terrence, his mom, Amitha were very welcoming and we have always enjoyed conversations with them. Odie, the dog made the stay even more worthwhile. The place is so beautiful, they also have a pool, which I hope to try next summer. We will definitely be back.

Stayed Oct 5-8, 2007 to celebrated our 20th. Hoppy's was recommended by a nearby Hotel, so we tried it. I have never felt so at home in a B&B in all our travels including Ireland. A beautiful and clean home in a well kept showcase neighborhood just minutes from the river, shops and Shaw theatres. Luxurious King bed for a person with a bad back. Hosts were always helpful, smiling, professional, respected the privacy of their guests and yet engaging and loved to laugh along with us. Breakfasts cooked by a chef (!!) with homemade fruit breads, jams and pastries. We enjoyed each morning chatting with Terrance and Ani and the other guests, our days started out upbeat, relaxed and happy just from setting down at the kitchen table. Rooms very clean and the living room great to cozy up in with a book. We fell in love with Odie the wonderful dog of course, he too is welcoming and trained wonderfully by his masters. I think he brings all good things to those who pet him each day. We were given lots of ideas of places to go and see, as well as vouchers and even web links and recommendations before hand so we could make dining reservations ahead of time. We took in wineries, plays, antiques, window shopping, galleries and lots of stops at the Irish Harp (Irish pub) - many of these suggested by our hosts.. TV was in the room, but so busy and so relaxed when back home, that it was only used when leaving to check the traveling weather! Future guests will be blessed to find their way to Hoppy's welcoming door as the Inuksuk in their front yard conveys. When we come back, we will return to Hoppy's ... Beautiful people inside and out.

Celebrating our 25th Anniversary could not have been better. The fine hospitality of Amitha & Terence along with members of their family, plus all the lovin from Odie (dog) made our stay impecable. Fabulous Breakfasts and interesting guests made for a great start to each day. Be sure to request the Asian Fusion. Magnificent weather, relaxed atmosphere, wine tasting and walks in town made a perfect combination for a 3 day getaway. Be sure to tour Reif Winery [Dawn is lots of fun], eat at Alfredo's outside of town for good Italian fare [say hello to Diana] and sample chocolates at Chocolate FX. [Ask for Bonnie's chocolate coated ginger.] Looking forward to returning real soon as there is much more to explore and many more people to meet.

We had an excellent stay at Hoppy's. We were there for the Niagara Wine Festival. The location is just 3 minutes from main street in Niagara on the Lake. Niagara on the Lake is surrounded by the wineries in the region and home to the Shaw Festival. The house is a bungalow with an outdoor in ground pool that the guests can use. The guest bedrooms (2)are on the main floor. The room had a queen bed, was clean and very comfortable. The selection of bathroom toiletries far exceeded any I have seen in a hotel. The amazing breakfasts were prepared by Terence who is an award winning professional chef. The taste, quality and presentation far exceeded any B&B we have visited in Niagara on the Lake and we have been going there for many years. We highly recommend staying at the Hopmans (Hoppy's). They also have a dog named Odie (part German Sheppard and part Chiauau). He is cute and very friendly and is trained not to enter the guestrooms. The are numerous wineries to visit. Wine tasting and wine tours are a must. The restaurant selection for lunch and dinner is abundant in the area. We highly recommend staying at the Hopmans the next time you visit Niagara on the Lake.
