Stayed at the Macies Best Western June 9 - June 12, 2008 and had a very interesting stay.

The motel did not have an up and running pool and the hot tub was questionable. The tub produced bubbles when on. The website promotes a spa like setting but once at the motel no steamroom was located and the sauna consisted of a heat lamp plugged in to the sauna by a very long and dangerous extension cord! Really, no heat.

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel over the Memorial day weekend. It was not a good experience overall.
1- When we checked in one of the room keys didn't open the door and after a long drive it was frustrating trying to figure out what we were doing wrong. The rest of the weekend it was guessing if we had brought the working key or not.
2- The room safe locked up on us and we weren't able to retrieve our valuables until after maintenance came and opened it. They coudln't fix it and we were not able to use it.
3- The fridge was under the sink in the bathroom and was not working. When I tried to see if it was plugged in, I burned my hand on the black coils in the back and noticed that the cord was ripped and had exposed wires while PLUGGED INTO THE WALL SOCKET! I couldn't sleep the rest of the weekend just fearing a fire.
4- The bathroom was not cleaned properly when we checked in. There was someone's facial hair left on the sink. UGH!

I think when you pay so much for a hotel, you should expect certain things to work and especially to be CLEAN. I thought this would be a nice break in a decent hotel, but I would not recomend this hotel unless you needed to stay in the area for a specific event. The Travelodge down the street seemed like a better hotel.

When we arrived in this hotel it appeared to be very clean, tidy and well presented. The staff were extreamly helpful and access around the hotel was very easy.

If I was to pick holes in this hotel I would only mention two points:

1) Whirlpool - (Take a gas mask) The fumes from the chlorine were so strong it choked you big time. My partner has sensitive eyes and could not keep them open becuase of the fumes.

2) Car parking - This was an issue because if we arived back to the hotel after 10 at night the car park was bursting at the seams.
There was an overflow car park at the rear but at night time it was difficult to see.

These were only minor problems as I would use this hotel again because of the friendly staff, comfy rooms, location and its cleanliness.

This hotel was very nice and the staff were very professional.
The room was very clean and confortable. The price was very reasonnable too!
