I stayed at this hotel in February and I swore by it. I had an amazing experience the first time. It was no suprise I decided to book this hotel for a 3 night visit in Ottawa last week.
When I got there I had to switch rooms because one of the wings doesn't have internet (which is something they should mention). I got put in a new room and although the layout was nice (like a mini apartment) it smelt moldy and old. The carpet was horrible.
Upon checking out they would not give me back my deposit because they claimed I made a mark on the carpet. I kept telling the lady that I did not make the mark and that I saw it when I got there. The mark was small so I didn't take much of it and I figured they knew because they have room service before someone checks in. She said she was unable to release my deposit because the manager wasn't there. She then gave me the managers number and said to call back on Monday (it was saturday). She also wrote down a letter for the manager to call me.
I called Monday and left a message. I called Tuesday and left a message. I called Wednesday and finally she picked up. She told me she had to transfer me to the head of housekeeping. She transfered me. No one picked up. I left another message.
My issue is that no one has made an effort to call me back. I told myself that I will give them until Friday or else I will call head office and make a complaint.
