This hotel has a good location (near Elgin St), big room and nice bathroom. It is not a brand new hotel, but it is confortable and clean. One elevator was being renovated. You can go by walk to good restaurants (experiment Fredo e Cielo at Elgin St.) and to the Parlament.

Embassy Hotel and Suites is well located but could benefit from some modernizing. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with kitchenettes. We had no problems at the hotel with the room or the staff although I will agree with others that the elevator was sometimes frustratingly slow. Ottawa over Canada Day weekend is fabulous and we enjoyed our stay there.

Arrived late on July 1 holiday. Hotel had no parking spaces left and spent an hour driving around looking for one. Had to unload wife and luggage in rain and walk back 4 blocks from city garage. Hotel reception was rude and disrepectful. When I asked for help looking for parking the reception person shtugged his shoulders and said "what do you want mke to do about it? No smile, no welcome, acted as though I was a nuisance to be even staying there. Pay little more and stay at a classier place - not worth spoiling your holiday to experience this treatment. Elevators erratic. AC in room was whining and noisy. Toilet did not flush. More like a Motel 6.

This is a wonderful place to stay during Winterlude - walking distance to lots of restaurants, Confederation Park and the Rideau Canal. Lots of room in the suites and friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended!
